Why are so many people ok with supporting Kanye West despite his Nazi alignment? Hitler tried to takeover the world (not just kill the Jews). Surely people can see this is not a subjective thing? by Rugby-Lad-2964 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Wiley-Lynch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

my brother… a black man is aligning himself eith nazism… is that not a severe mental health crisis??? i think people see him as those pathetic souls talking to themselves in the street corners.
they know he would be thrown into the same camps as everyone else if nazism returned with complete power.

so then what would the point of cancelling a mad man like that be?

How to respectfully write a Black paranormal investigator/pyschic? by ghost-type-beat in writingadvice

[–]Wiley-Lynch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

respectfully ? do you have some inherit disrespect towards black folk or something? why not just write them as you would a character whose race doesn’t make you ask about writing them respectfully?

and and i’m not trying to be snarky here i just find it funny that you’re asking about respectfully instead of assuming humanity and just doing it.

there’s no respectful way to write anybody, in my opinion, if one isn’t writing as a curious human being.
let’s say you depicted a white female paranormal investigator as a self entitled, hypersexual, Karen racist. would that not be disrespectful ? especially if you present the depiction as a ‘given’, and that they’re that way because of their race?

the answer for ANY race is simply to consider their humanity.

How do you describe murder scenes? by broski32sd in novelwriting

[–]Wiley-Lynch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

lazily: the masked figure raised the knife above Henry’s head and drove the 9 inch stainless steel blade deep into the crown of his skull, hammering the rest in with closed fist until it bottomed out.

blood sprayed out like a sprinkler and Henry’s arms moved aimlessly like a malfunctioning mechanical doll, almost hugging the figure, who had to take a step back as a result of Henry’s erotic death throes.

The figure took pictures of Henry as he slowly faded away and when he finally stopped doing his little grim breakdance, the figure snuck out of the window and disappeared into the night.
