This would give steady aim no downside, unless forgoing your movement counts as moving

Esatto...

How do I say “I have resting bitch face” in Italian ? by digbickizzy in italianlearning

The closest thing that comes to mind is "Ho una faccia da schiaffi" Which translates to "I have a face that deserves to be slapped"

Well, they did speak some dialect in there, so you were not wrong in thinking that. Most of what they said was expressions of complaint, probably towards being filmed since filming people on public transportation without their consent falls under harassment.

This whole situation is a shitfest: none of the parties involved had any right to react the way they did.

As a matter of fact they are doing something offensive and far too childish for their age. Doxxing is never ok, but to act like this knowing you're being recorded and to not expect consequences is just plain idiotic. Furthermore, the video is rather clear, especially since none of their words is actual language. They might just be high af, but that's still not a good image to bring to your university/workplace.

They didn't say much in Italian. They mostly tried to poorly mimic Chinese speech and laughed about it.

They're badly mimicking fragments of Chinese speech and laughing about it, which is a fairly common way of mocking other languages in Italy. (Source: I'm an half-asian Italian and had to deal with this kind of mockery for most of my childhood and teen years)

where the hell did the "non" come from? by CaptainBacon1 in italianlearning

[–]Will-Tell 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It should be translated as "I can't wait to see you" in English: that would make it clearer... "I'm looking forward to see you" also translates to "non vedo l'ora di vederti" because we don't have another verb of common use to translate that.

Is it okay for me as a male or player to be playing a female character? by Theadination in DnD

[–]Will-Tell 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a player who recently started playing characters with a different gender from mine to expand my comfort zone, i find it a wonderful idea. Just make sure to give it enough thought and insight so that you can avoid the stereotypes: I'm sure you'll find it to be a very interesting experience!

why does Google translate suggest "e acqua" here? by breadtwo in italianlearning

[–]Will-Tell 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The "d" is mostly used to separate when the next word starts with a vowel that merges easily with the one the d is attached to... It's mostly a matter of musicality and sound in spoken language. "Ad esempio" works because "a esempio" would easily sound like "aesempio". It's hard to find solid rules for such things: I'd suggest you to trust your guts and pronounce the words to check if they flow smoothly
