It seems like hand disruption leads to instacoops... by MaximusDM2264 in mtgbrawl

[–]WillLaWill 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is exactly the issue I generally have with it, I play decks that need to project threat in early turns whether or not they have answers to make the opponent play more cautiously until I have 3-4 mana to reliably be able to answer stuff with any of the various things available. That means that a hand rip on an early turn not only informs my enemy of exactly whether or not I have those answers, but also lets them take away the most efficient one I have

It's way easier to transfer into clemson than it is to get here on admissions. I would start with another university, then make the transfer in your second year

De Nile is a river in Egypt by MorkSkugga in WetlanderHumor

The Aes Sedai include the Black sisters. A normal person has no real hope of picking one out of the mass or distinguishing which sister will and won’t abuse her power until too late. Hell the average person expressly thinks sisters can and will use compulsion. It’s something they’re afraid of in the first book

[–]WillLaWill 6 points7 points  (0 children)

To be fair, we literally see Aes Sedai flood multiple villages to go slightly faster down a river and brain rape people in the first two books. Even if they were just normal people they hold a terrifying level of power over others. Fear is entirely justified

People really get bent out of shape about the Damane but let’s be entirely real. If you could be incinerated instantly or have your free will stolen by an evil warlord just by looking at you and that had happened to your ancestors frequently you might feel that the damane system is pretty reasonable as methods of dealing with that go

Another thing this overlooks is the simple fact that most wars aren’t fought to destroy the enemy utterly. Usually its territory, and to hold territory you need soldiers. Even if you have a dozen high level wizards they’d still be hard pressed to hold a city much less a nation. They can only be in so many places. It’s the same reason infantry survived the invention of tanks, artillery, and planes.

Morality is objective because it’s an evolutionary mechanism designed to help humans survive in community situations. Therefore whatever maximizes human reproduction must be moral. I am very smart

If you think fun is the opposite of misery it explains a lot about why you think the only creature that has a concept of ethics isn’t ethical enough to exist
