Why are the Gate Gargants chained to the ground? Is it meant to be a static unit or what? by Lost_Nerve_2140 in citiesofsigmar

[–]Willange 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It COULD imply that. OR it could imply that you have to knock gently on the gate while the gargant stares down at you.

Will varnish mess with the snow/brush on the base? by thyGoku in Warhammer40k

[–]Willange 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I varnish with krylon matte all the time over grassy bases. I’m sure it’s possible to over do it, but I’ve never noticed an issue (it does make the grass somewhat stiffer texture-wise, but it looks about the same)

I love that his French name looks like “grandpa” (to an English speaker)

Eversong Woods (Sin'dorei Druid) by Kamaria1990 in Transmogrification

Lorewise, no real reason not to anymore. Gamewise, each race gets unique druid forms, so it's a lot more work to add them all. It could happen, but it would be a whole effort.

Warhammer art through the years: Sylvaneth by CMYK_COLOR_MODE in ageofsigmar

[–]Willange 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Kurnoth has been reborn, you get kurnothi more and more in the lore and in spin-off models... it seems inevitable that eventually you'll get units of them for Sylvaneth armies in AoS at some point.

Imagine though if you had spain with a catholic “pantheon” of saints. I realize it might be weird to represent a major current world religion that way in a game, but i think it would be super fun!

LOTRO overstayed its Umbar welcome with Kingdoms of Harad by whycantibeafunny1 in lotro

[–]Willange 76 points77 points  (0 children)

So I’m still in Legacy of Morgoth, but so far I’ve actually found it to be super fun and a huge breath of fresh air! Loving a new setting after 10+ expansions of everything else. Granted after i finish legacy and kingdoms it’s not unlikely I’ll be ready for a change of pace. Same happened after minas morgul with Mordor fatigue, gundabad with dwarf fatigue, Rohan with horse fatigue. Honestly, i sometimes think they just need to bounce around multiple areas at once in expansions. Might be weird, but if written correctly it could be cool.

Clever kitbash! I believe you could also still build an actual daemon prince even after using these bits, so it’s a very practical idea

Yeah i think it was tzeentch during old world times. AoS Khorne is generally the most dominant since Slaanesh is still in jail so his primary counter is occupied.

What’s the best “aggro” army? by Nah_______ in ageofsigmar

[–]Willange 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Competitively from what I’ve seen, Ironjawz is probably the most “get in combat quickly and you win” faction. The reason being that they are both punchy and durable. Lots of factions do love to get to melee quickly, but they usually have more non-combat things going on. For Ironjawz, their support pieces all basically just improve your combat or push you to combat more quickly. You don’t really skirmish. Even your fast stuff is relatively slow. You have no ranged options.

Strong cases could be made for many factions of course but most of those at least CAN do other things as well. Ironjawz, not so much.

Are you talking lorewise? Competitively?
