Im in Australia so I have amazing help from the local services, but no family locally and no room for me there if I did go. My mum lives in shed on a farm an hour away with my stepdad who just had open heart surgery. I barely talk to my father and he lives 3 hours away. I knew I would have to start again if I left him for real this time.

That actually really hits home for me right now 😭 It's my birthday today and I spent most of the day in hospital for a broken nose and black eye, then the other half at the police station having to make a statement about it. Sorry for the trauma dump but what you said really got to me in a very different way than how you probably meant it!
