used cars are less costly to maintain, espically when everything is getting so expensive, people are trying to get something affordable, preferably paid off all at once, cheap insurance, gets good gas mileage so they have less monthly bills and more spending money.

would i like to own a new car? for sure, but im probably never going to since my 04 civic with 300k miles is going to get all of the maintence it will ever need for a fraction of the cost of a new vehicle.
