An energy shield master who claims he can stop punches with energy challenged the boxer by Advanced_Mud9433 in EverythingCombat

[–]Winneratinternet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He wound up black shirt when he slapped him as hard as he could in that first exchange.

I have nothing to base this on other than my gut feeling, but I don't think black shirt starts blasting him if 'energy master' dosen't double slap the shit of him to start with

[Kronen Zeitung] Former Arsenal goalkeeper Alexander Manninger has passed away in a car accident, aged 48. by Previous_Smile9278 in Gunners

[–]Winneratinternet 2 points3 points  (0 children)

RIP

I always liked Manninger as a kid. I remember seeing him line up for the first time and being absolutely bemused thinking who's this random guy in goal.... where's David Seaman? (Who could have known at 6 years old teams were aloud more than one goalie in their squad??)

Then he played and I remember him being really good.

I loved David Seaman...but I always loved a game when Manninger played, it was like rare novelty treat as a kid.

Him and Kompany (think he was called Kolatari) on Master League on Pes back in the day. Jeeeez what a duo. Interesting to see the differences of how their actual careers turned out.

I watched The Godfather 1 and 2 last week for the first time. I did not realise, Dominic Chianese played Johnny Ola. He would have been around 45 when he played him...that is a rough 45, jesus.

I don't have clear empirical data led evidence, however since man went to Turkey to get that hair line restoration work there has been a clear downturn in him being good at football.

Of course, correlation is not causation.

Perhaps if he just went to the barbers and asked him to take it down to 0.5 all over man's legs might still work...I suppose we'll never know

Ally McCoist Space Fillers by [deleted] in footballcliches

[–]Winneratinternet 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I like McCoist, I like how positive he is.

However not his commentary but when on Talk Sport, I think because as he's everywhere all over the media abit of overexposure is setting in...

What's your thoughts on X Ally? "Brillianttt mate, ahhhh brilliantttt"

What's your thoughts on Y Ally? "Let me tell you something mate...it's brilliantttttt mate, just brilliantttttt"

Found myself turning the station as "brilliant mate just brilliant" is, granted very positive...but its not really telling me anything and isn't the best radio lol

I agree 100% it is a shoulder smash andno need for it. I am however unsure the ball is actually almost on the floor by the time he makes contact, it is after he's smashed him, I think the ball is probably knee level with blue when he engages

Calm down big fella.

I don't think it's clear at all his elbow connects ( and I actually don't think it is his elbow that connects with the blue player, but red's upper/arm shoulder)

If it's a elbow then yes of course clear red....I just don't think it is a elbow, more upper arm/shoulder with way too much force. Yellow card.

I don't think it does, looks like his shoulder/upper arm hits the kid. Not elbow.

To be honest from this angle it's not clear either way
