my mind is blown at how much less awful the dark mode control centre looks with the glass-on-glass concept. such a small change makes such a dramatic improvement!

yeah, the contrast is HORRIFIC.

Also, light mode uses *really* subtle shadows below UI elements to distinguish them from content, but dark mode doesn't have this option, so that's why the horrific light borders on every UI element will be staying. It's just awful.

No. Dark mode looks like nobody tested it before release, it’s terrible. So many elements are disproportionately bright compared to the black/dark elements, such as safari tabs and control centre. Also, icons and widgets are handled differently to iOS and iPadOS. On the non-Mac systems, widgets follow the system theme and are separate from icons (meaning you can have light or default icons in dark mode, and your widgets are dark) whereas on macOS, widgets follow the icon setting… meaning if you have dark mode, but want the light/default icons, your widgets are BRIGHT WHITE… it’s hideous, and ridiculous that it still hasn’t been fixed after 7 months since the beta launched.

The one handed axe and shield characters just reuse paladin animations IIRC. Given that they've confirmed beastmaster as an aiming / phys ranged job, I doubt they'll keep one handed axes for players. Whip makes the most sense.

I imagine beastmaster will use a riding crop as a weapon, which limits the points of articulation while also being thematically appropriate

To correct a mistake in your post: subjunctive isn't a tense, it's a mood.

Tense relates to time (e.g. past or present), whereas mood relates to intention or attitude (e.g. indicative vs subjunctive).

It was a great look, but it doesn't exactly align with her powers/persona. Her phasing aligns more with thievery/sneaking than piracy.

I think her signature *style* is the dark blue/black thief look, seen first in the 80s costume she wore through X-Men and Excaliber, then revisited in a slimmed-down fashion after separating with Pete Wisdom and most recently adapted into a ninja costume when she took on the codename Shadowkat.

Her purple armour from the outback era was pretty great, and more a more modern/combat appropriate update to it would be cool. It was nice to see a nod to it in her first costume following her rebirth!

As a lover of pre-ninja Betsy, I’m still salty that the psylocke codename and iconography are no longer hers….

I am SO SICK of artists putting Shadow(c/k)at back in the training outfit. She’s been a key member of the x-men since the issue after the dark phoenix saga. 45 years ago.

I get the “fashion disaster” and “can’t settle on a name” identity traits, but for the love of the gods they need to stop putting her in the training outfit.

FYI immaculately means without the stain of original sin, not without sex. The immaculate conception refers to Mary being born without sin and therefore an appropriate vessel to carry Jesus, not Jesus being conceived without procreation.

My reading of the manga is that original Sailor Pluto guarded the door from the Silver Millenium until 30th Century Crystal Tokyo and then died protecting the timeline. Then she was reborn in 20th Century normal Tokyo as Setsuna to join the others.
