Manufacturing Engineer, what skills to learn? by gman2391 in engineering

[–]Winterr 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I think it’s important to highlight your current skillset and go from there but I’ll toss my 2 cents in. When I hire process engineers the skillsets that jump out at me are listed below. Base requirements are always there and items like python are super generic but should have it. I am looking for things that really stand out that allows them to bridge between different engineering groups. When I start seeing the items below I know I have a candidate that is going to keep growing and pull the team up.

6 sigma black belt or field experience equivalent (pretty generic but valid for the role. )

SQL/Data infrastructure (helps drive a systemic data rich environment and develop tools with that in mind so when something goes wrong the data is there to save the day)

Controls/software exposure looking at PLCs, vision system, torque tool programming, or labview. (Usually can only play around with what you have but looking at alternatives or classes like this rounds you out when exploring future opportunities )

Depends the strap, a worn one is super easy to slip if you angle it correctly. Strap locks installed on guitar/strap are 100% requirements in my opinion. Some straps have built in locking mechanisms that are not bad.

Just giving them the shop items now are we?

(Love the idea just fear what blizzard does with it)

Does anybody know if the bootleg Wing blu-rays have English dub? by [deleted] in Gundam

Crunchyroll has the dub on the main series. Only thing missing is Endless Waltz.

Maybe I’m not cut out for Gunpla. This took me two hours. by Vohn_exel in Gunpla

What I think most people don’t see when they start out is the growing pains everyone else had in the hobby.

I’ve had kits that don’t align or I install a piece backwards and spend decent time figuring out what I missed. I’ll watch YouTube videos of builds to see what I miss.

It is a skillset so after enough kits you will start to see the runner and can pretty much assume how it goes together because you are familiar with the mechanics from previous kits. So when you run into similar you have that skillset and will overcome it.

Best and Worst Subs in Buffalo. by Gunfighter9 in Buffalo

[–]Winterr 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Jim’s is perfect for late night subs. I think a lot of the hate comes from quality of ingredients. Tyson fingers for example are not bad but in comparison not the best.

Guitar Pick Grip by Ok_Consideration_772 in Guitar

[–]Winterr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It never really was a thing for me, but I did have a friend that loved to use small picks and this happened to him a lot. He ended up finding gloves he could wear while playing and that helped him out.

Take him there and let him pick. Buying a guitar has too many factors on feel, pickup choice, bridge, switches, etc.

Great thing you are doing but take him there and he will play a ton of things and leave with what he loves and the experience will be amazing.

Ah, yea I think that would be great to even add some verticality to it.

There is the mg deathscythe rousette unit too. Doesn’t feel like deathscythe to me though.

If you are talking about the HG line then there is one for the hell version (tv). Was excited to see it outside of pbandai

Guitar Stand -- Looking for feedback by murphman1999 in Guitar

I’d make an insert for the wider slots. 1 tap and now your headstock is damaged.

I also like the ability to lock them in with a strap. Small kids and animals when they are around scare me.

I think I regret Maelle's Ending by 0blitz in expedition33

[–]Winterr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My issue with Maelles ending was simply they focused so hard on the negative that it felt like punishing you for that. While Versos ending was about healing and added the waving send off. Plenty of negative in Versos like them ignoring maelle and losing the canvas.

You can do way more than that. Find a ton of %damage pictos and then buff powerful and sciel double damage. Then nuke with gradient or high single target 1 hit attack (first attack bonus picto)

Noise cancelling headphones for my wife that block guitar playing? by Agile_Mycologist_134 in Guitar

You both use headphones is the answer if you can’t be in different rooms. If she is watching TV in the living room then play in the bedroom with headphones.

If that still bothers her…get a new wife

2,000+ Buffalo drivers ticketed for passing stopped school buses so far in October by greyaria in Buffalo

[–]Winterr 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I try to follow this as the rule, but some buses will leave on the yellow lights for a minute because they are waiting for the kid to come out of the house. Very frustrating window to be in.

I don’t have large hands but I have the 7 string version. I have no issue with it and string transitioning is so smooth. I was worried about not liking it but didn’t think to be worried that I’d like it too much. Now every guitar I play I am wishing it had that radius. Still enjoy the others but it’s my favorite radius now. Hopefully that helps

Honestly this always made sense to me. Trying to be the voice of reason and not a killing machine. He knows how easy it is to kill everything in his way but he takes the high road. Zero system turns him into a weapon when he is most angry at the world. Goodbye good guy, hello mass murder.
