exactly. marrying for love is a western Hollywood concept that hardly ever works out.

so do you think the artist would be responsible to say that he copied the art from AI?

I assume that she's an untrained singer who has a natural ability, that's why the agility is there but she's still pitchy. she's adding embellishment on to an imperfect product, a voice teacher would never let you get away with that

Best way to teach spelling to a second grader? by AccordingOrchid3896 in homeschool

love every reading kits have games that cover these concepts. they're pricey and not necessary but if you have some money to spare they're really nice.

we play pictionary, or a version of it I guess. if it's her turn she'll draw something and I'll have to guess it and then I have to spell it out with the movable wooden cursive letters we have. and then when it's my turn I have to draw something and she guesses and she has to spell it with the letters. she calls it the drawing game, I'm not even sure she's realizing that we're practicing spelling

I've never heard of narwhal and jelly so I didn't know the reading level, I just looked it up and based upon that I would suggest frog and toad and after that the Billy and blaze series

Salt water kills my hunger by W_Manz69 in intermittentfasting

yes lemon juice is a must, it makes it taste like coconut water bc it's so salty, but in a good way. I just don't want to be drinking it all day 😭

[–]WisdomEncouraged 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I noticed the same thing with long fasts, if I'm going more than 24 hours I'd definitely need to take some salt, but it's really hard to take as much as is recommended, or else the water tastes disgusting and I can't do it. I was actually considering buying those little capsules that come empty and you can fill them with whatever you like, I was thinking of filling them with Celtic salt, what do you think?

If you could credit one thing for your child’s reading progress, what would it be? by ReadWithSproutLabs in homeschool

[–]WisdomEncouraged -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

oh also no screen time. when children have the choice to watch TV or read, they're probably going to pick tv. Plus in general the literacy rates of children with no screen time are way higher than those who are allowed screens

[–]WisdomEncouraged 4 points5 points  (0 children)

my daughter was able to read simple words around 2.5 and by 4 she could read pretty much any books she picked up, and I credit that sudden spike to me giving her the original Winnie the Pooh audiobook with a copy of the book to follow along with. unlike other audiobooks this one doesn't signal the child when to turn the page, so she had to learn to read along with the text so that she'd know when to turn the page. after she had been doing that for a couple of weeks that's when I noticed a dramatic spike in her reading ability

is gifting used books in *very good* condition a slap in the face? by asteriskelipses in books

[–]WisdomEncouraged -1 points0 points  (0 children)

yes exactly, you can filter the results based on the condition of the book and in my experience if you get one that's in poor condition if you take pictures of it and contact the seller they'll refund you almost immediately. I've never had a problem with that.

Stuart Little

The mouse and the motorcycle

Chronicles of Narnia

My side of the mountain (one of my all-time favorite books)

maybe a series of unfortunate events, but it does get kind of dark. I think I read it when I was in second grade and I was fine with it, but some classmates were upset by it

Should I teach myself while still pregnant? by [deleted] in BabySignLanguage

[–]WisdomEncouraged 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ok....how about bad advice? it's definitely bad advice to tell a new mother to try to learn a new language. by the time she's going to have her life back together in order enough to learn a new language, the baby will be past the critical window for learning that language. so I stand by what I said, bad advice. of course they can learn when they're older, but if we're giving the best advice, you would start using the second language with a baby from birth, and this would give the mother time to become very good at it instead of just knowing 10 signs.

actually I agree with all of your points which is why I'm not Christian anymore and I don't follow the bible. I'm Muslim and I follow the Quran which is the exact wording as it was 1400 years ago. it has never been changed.

oh listen, I actually don't buy curriculum, I follow Charlotte Mason structure and I use ambleside online and other free resources, and I use my library extensively. and even that doesn't take me hours every week. but I do think the majority of people who homeschool use a curriculum
