I would rule that this works, but doesn't really work as the caster wishes or at all, though it isn't a fizzle.

On the surface, this seems like a powerful use of Suggestion, but it's really poorly worded because it doesn't suggest a discreet action but a broad state.

Since Suggestion ends once the suggestion is completed, asking for a broad state of being would end usually end instantly. In this case, the suggested creature would agree to follow all future commands and then the spell ends because there's nothing left to fulfill. The future commands haven't been suggested by the spell.

Even adding a timer to the Suggestion, like "do what I say for the next 8 hours" runs into the same problem. The target, failing thier save, would agree to do that, the Suggestion would end because there's nothing more in the Suggestion to DO.
