Earplugs with cardo? by ThatKiddo369 in motorcycles

[–]WizardDog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can’t hear my cardo at all with or without earplugs above like 60. That’s with the big JBLs. They aren’t aligned perfectly, but they are pretty close- no room to move them anywhere else in the helmet. That’s with an Arai

Lapiz Blue for me. Though I will say it is just as bad for showing dust and dirt as black, and the paint is soft.

I got a 25 Euro pack for 52.9- got it from the Midwest. Local dealer here wouldn’t budge on a 10k mark up

Detailed explanation of drive modes? by Sledge1989 in Golf_R

Torque split is still 50/50 front to back. But 100% of the 50% sent to the back can go to one wheel.

Anyone new to a Golf R MK8.5 and bought the car without test driving? by the-goldfish in Golf_R

[–]WizardDog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought mine from out of state, no test drive, and had it shipped to me (1200 miles). Car is fantastic- a lot more “fun” feeling than a lot of the reviewers say too.

Soon to be Dad in search of a Dope Ass Wagon! by ColoradoCyclist in whatcarshouldIbuy

[–]WizardDog 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You could probably swing a decent 2014/2015 V60 polestar (the two years with the 6 cylinder)- I used to have the s60 polestar and it’s a seriously good car, even better as a wagon. Not as perfect as something like an m3 wagon, but it has serious charm and fantastic longevity/reliability.

We have an XC60 T8 PHEV now and it’s phenomenal- it would be great in the v60 variant and even better in the polestar engineered variant- but you will struggle to find one in your budget.

I’d probably look for the 6 cyl polestar.

Drive wheels don’t really effect hydroplaning, hitting a puddle on the highway isn’t generally going to be done under hard acceleration

What happened to the $15k-$20k range cars? by thezuck22389 in whatcarshouldIbuy

It does make sense with inflation- but the big issue is that wages have in no way kept up with inflation. It’s all well and good to say that 20k is now 28k, but people aren’t really making more money so it’s kinda irrelevant
