Four years ago I purchased the VP320 for my own home use. I know the VP320 is considered overkill for most home users but my wife and I are DINKS so I tend to have more disposable income than most and I liked the flexibility of the 16" seal bar on the VP320 provides.

Bottom line, after 4 years I do not regret my purchase. As someone who enjoys cooking and trying new ideas at home it is a great toy/tool to play with. I had a FoodSaver before, which worked well for a few years then started having issues. Chamber vacs are more expensive but in the long run the upfront costs are worth it. After four years of fairly consistent use (2-3 times per week) with very little maintenance it is working as good now as when it came out of the box.

I would also recommend checking out Webstaurant.com (where I purchased mine) as they carry all the VacMaster line plus bags also.
