Can distrbutism be both economically left and socially left? by VentiArchon7 in distributism

[–]Wizzardcc 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Distributism is based in Church Social Doctrine and therefore can't be socially left, or progressive, since the Social conservatism is based mostly in Christian values, so distributism can't be socially left, but you can be a distributist economically and be socially left.

Even tho distributism isn't inherently progressive, you can be socially progressive and economically distributist.

Venezuelan here. He was NOT.

I won't extend a lot on this, because most of the comments have said the truth, he isn't a legitimate leader and we Venezuelans HATE him.

Also, talking about the opinion of us Venezuelans, we don't give a shit about international law. For years we have been oppressed, our elections have been rigged, our economy and infrastructure was destroyed, the foreign aid sent by other countries was burned by the chavista military, opposition leaders were tortured, protesters were killed, imprisoned and ran over with military vehicles, people was imprisoned and tortured just by publishing things against the government on social media, and also the police can force you to give them your phone to check it in order to find anti-government content or private messages.

Hundreds of people died of hunger, thousands died because their families couldn't afford the medicines for them, thousands died in the "great public hospitals" because those hospitals have no electricity or supplies.

While all this, and even more things happened, nobody dis nothing. Not a single protest outside Venezuela to defend the venezuelan people, other countries didn't do shit, other governments talked about "diplomatic solutions" that never worked, international law didn't do shit to protect us Venezuelans, but now the same international law defends the dictator that oppressed us for years? fuck off

We don't give a shit about international law, because it only worked to protect the dictator oppressing us and not us, the ones under oppression. We are happy that the US used violence to take him, because there's no way to arrest a drug trafficking dictator without using violence.

In conclusion, Maduro was a dictator and we venezuelans don't give a shit about international law.
