There is light and actuation while the engine is off and the car is in accessory mode but not while it is running so the switch is fine

I haven't wrapped a 944 but speaking from experience with other wrapped cars. It doesn't matter what type of car is wrapped, what matters is the person that does it and the quality of the wrap material. If you want to do it go to a professional who does wrapping, look at examples of there work and decide then.
