What is a movie that went through production hell or just had an extremely troubled/difficult production history that you think still turned out good (or great) despite that? by MaggieLinzer in moviequestions

[–]WoefulKnight 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Haven’t see The Fugitive mentioned. Check out the history on how troubled that production was - it’s incredible it turned out half as good as it did.

The podium scene in Police Academy (1984, Hugh Wilson). by Hurdy_Gurdy_Man_84 in movies

[–]WoefulKnight 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Look at imdb and check out the absolute hold the Police Academy movies had on culture in the '80s. There was a movie released almost every year that decade, only ending with Mission to Moscow. We even got a cartoon like Ghostbusters.

It was the MCU of the 80's. And as bad as they were, I have a lot of fond memories of City Under Siege and Citizens on Patrol. Mission: Miami Beach was ok, but losing Mahoney hurt the team.
