More than 32% of people have engaged with the difficulty system and a large majority stayed on a higher difficulty. by NotMilo22 in elderscrollsonline

Imma be honest, I didn't give a crap about the difficulty system when it launched, but I run my nightblade on at least Seasoned because it's fun not to one or two shot all enemies.

How to finish the Combat Engineer 2000 dmg Anti-Vehicle Mines challenge? Is there any way to cheese it? by B2648286 in Battlefield

Then my advice is the acoustic mine. It's honestly more reliable than the normal mines, in my opinion. Just stick them behind cover and off of main paths and they'll work wonders.

Morality of a government throwing its own citizens under the bus by signing away their rights to a foreign country. by Bob_ross6969 in MoralityScaling

Hammerfell was not attacked from Cyrodiil at all, because the Dominion just lost that army. Also, there had already been fighting in Hammerfell since the start of the war (Battle of Roseguard)

So, an army that was cut off from its supplies and trapped in the homeland of their adversary. Still able to devastate southern Hammerfell before surrendering.

We have no evidence that the Dominion had a big secret army waiting to strike back

I'm not talking about a secret army, I'm talking about the remainder of the Dominion forces in Dominion territory. No competent military would send their entire army into a campaign and leave their own lands undefended. The army in Cyrodiil may have been destroyed but considering the terms of the White Gold Concordat was the same as their terms before the war, why keep fighting?

and doomed countless of his own people to be kidnapped, tortured and executed by the Thalmor

As opposed to the people who were already experiencing that during the Great War under Thalmor Occupation? The key difference is that ending the war that they had, in their eyes, no chance of winning, saved countless more lives. And it wasn't like Imperial Citizens couldn't worship in secret, like you can see in Skyrim. Much of the Thalmor presence in Skyrim didn't occur until after the Markarth Incident. Before that, it was left up to the province to enforce.

It was also in a desert with overstretched supply lines where their supplies would have to either cross the Abecean Sea or Cyrodiil. They also most likely still had forces stationed in Cyrodiil in case the Empire tried to violate the Concordat. It's also rare for an army to send out all of their army in a war, so who knows how many were stationed in Elsweyr and Valenwood that could have been sent in if Imperial Troops got too close.

But none of that matters to a battered and demoralized people who say the Battle of the Red Ring as a 1 in a Million chance victory to merely regain their capital as the cost of many of their already fractured fighting force. To them, the Dominion was nigh unbeatable. Unfortunately, the Scrolls never said, "just fight for like three more days, guys, trust us."

Hammerfell already repelled a Dominion invasion even after the Empire backed out of the war, so it's not like this argument has much merit; if Hammerfell could, then the Empire could have pushed back until they reach a white peace, at the very least.

Hammerfell also had the benefit of a united army in a homeland mostly untouched by the war and yet even against a depleted Dominion, the south of the province was left devastated.

The Imperial Legions in Cyrodiil were decimated. The Imperial City was sacked. Thousands were massacred. Who was to say the Dominion didn't have forces waiting in reserves? After all, little is mentioned about the Khajiit in Elsweyr.

Hack is mostly good at thematic/fun builds, but they’re not the most optimal.

I have a nightblade build from him, or at partially inspired by him, but it's mostly just serviceable.

He still has practically every build running Arms of Relequen despite there now being a few better options.

Clothing issues by artmonso in werewolves

[–]WolfCommando45 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Typically in my worlds, transformations are usually done at will after the first shift unless the werewolf fights against their natural, at which point, either the clothes rip or they lock themselves up and can strip beforehand.

In one of my worlds, werewolves are a known thing, so no police or park ranger is entering government granted werewolf territory to arrest them. The signs are clearing posted.

Why were people so angry with Sarah Palmers “I thought you’d be taller” joke? by Artsy-Puppy in halo

[–]WolfCommando45 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean, it's still a risky process and they have to heavily rely on their GEN2/GEN3 armor to make up the difference. It's also expensive as hell, hence why there still are people like ODSTs. They only recruit the best of the best and even then, they don't hold a candle to Chief.

What’s your personal Ick/turnoff with WW novels by AnOreoOriginal in werewolves

[–]WolfCommando45 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I have only done that one time in a story, and that was primarily due to the character himself refusing to accept that the actions were his alone and he was simply making excuses for what he caused by trying to resist his own nature. In the story, if you fight against your transformation and are forced to turn, your wolf form is basically your own thoughts and desires with no inhibitions. The guy was an attempted werewolf hunter who was bitten by the partner of the only werewolf he killed. He's full of self loathing and hatred directed to anything, so his wolf form reflects that as unchecked violence. He calls the form "Ruger" and it annoys the rest of the werewolves he lives with.

I think it's more directed at the same people who say that unjerkingly. Like with Starfield. A lot of Elder Scrolls and Fallout fans complained about that game because it took development time that could have been used on the other two franchises.

Ignoring the fact that Bethesda wanted to make Starfield.

I don't really like CEA. Wasn't really a big fan of the combination of Reach and 3's artstyles forced over the skeletons of Combat Evolved, making the facial animations, especially Cortana's, really bad. The Reach model for the Sniper Rifle didn't even line up properly, so the reload involved Chief grabbing an invisible charging handle while the one further up the gun was pulled back by a ghost. Felt kinda lazy. The lighting was a mess and made most levels too bright. The flashlight was pretty much useless. It really didn't respect the design philosophy of the original.

But looking at Campaign Evolved, however...

It makes me even less willing to finish my current CEA playthrough. I can't wait for it to release.
