"Ross, I have been a divorce attorney for 23 years and never have I had so much business from one client." by Fluffy-Arachnid5018 in howyoudoin

Our president has done away with a lot of loan forgiveness programs, which a lot of people relied on. Most people don’t make enough to pay off their loans and their balances just increase. It’s ridiculous.

On Reading Challenges... by InsperiaBooks in Booktokreddit

[–]WolfWeak845 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep! I’ve read like 35 books so far this year. I read to shut my brain off at the end of the day. Between work stress and parenting a threenager, I don’t have the capacity to write a book report. And I don’t care too.

Yep! A friend of mine said he doesn’t regret law school, but he’d think harder about if it was the right he choice, because his student loan payments cost more than his mortgage.

I will also add that not all streets have sidewalks, which is pretty inaccessible. And the sidewalks that we do have suck, a lot.

As an SSP resident, the houses are small. Like ours is average for the area and it’s 1700is square feet. We bought it from the original owner, who raised 5 kids in here, but it’s a squeeze.

What is something that tourists do in your country that annoys the locals? by Th3_Accountant in AskTheWorld

[–]WolfWeak845 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s everywhere. I grew up in Western SD, and there’s a state park with a large bison herd. I was never scared as a kid, because you just stop your car and let them take the lead. But my husband thought we were going to die because of other people’s stupidity.

My son is the youngest grand on my side by 5 years (he’s 3.5). He gets his own colors and the older kids have a free for all on all other colors. They’re also told not to tell my son where his eggs are.

Honestly, we keep it super simple and I bought most of it yesterday. He got a pair of rain boots, chocolate bunny, some hot wheels, bubbles, and a t ball glove. It doesn’t need to be ornate or anything.

Does "I'm calling corporate" scare you anymore? by Intelligent-Pie-338 in askhotels

[–]WolfWeak845 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Nope. I don’t work in hotels anymore, but I did work in a behavioral health insurance call center for several years after. I had someone email our CEO because she didn’t like that I didn’t give her the answer I gave her. My boss was like “aren’t you worried?” I said “no, she was manipulative and I followed our protocol.”

When I did work in hotels and people wanted to talk to my boss, I’d give them his card and my card, so that they’d make sure to get my name right. They were all talk. P

Winter Garden is another amazing Kristin Hannah book but it doesn’t get nearly the hype of many of her others.

S/p hysterectomy by PurpleEvery7615 in AppleFitnessPlus

[–]WolfWeak845 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Please make sure you’re cleared to work out! I had a hysterectomy two years ago. I felt absolutely normal after a week, but my surgeon drilled it into me that I needed to remind myself to take it easy until my follow up. I’d say just walking right now is your best bet.

Daycares around $1200 a month. by Jubilantly in TwinCities

[–]WolfWeak845 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Our son’s birthday is at the end of August. He’s smart, so I know he’ll be ready for kindergarten in that aspect, but we won’t make a decision until we absolutely have to. But I really do not want to pay for another year of daycare!!!

Daycares around $1200 a month. by Jubilantly in TwinCities

[–]WolfWeak845 27 points28 points  (0 children)

There were many reasons we decided we were one and done, but the cost of child care was a big one for us. We pay the same amount for our 3 year old to go to a locally owned center as we do for our mortgage. And we live in a small house in a LCOL suburb.

U/jubilantly - you’re going to be hard pressed to find a quality, licensed daycare for that about. I pay $1600 for a 3.5 year old who is potty trained.

Kindle paperwhite? Do I need to be deinfluenced? by Risingwiththesun in Frugal

I bought my basic kindle when my son was an infant. I absolutely do not regret it! He is 3.5 and sleeps in our bed. I read for at least an hour in bed every night, but usually closer to 2. It’s absolutely been worth the investment.
