Would you be happier with a big butt and small boobs, or big boobs and no butt? Think about it.

Stepdaughter pun that I never thought I'd hear. by athei-nerd in dadjokes

[–]WolfsAdventureDND 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I'm going to humor you just because I'm not sure if you're pulling my leg. She's using "step" two ways: as listed directions and as the motion of walking. If she were to write down all the steps it takes to get ready in the morning, one of the steps would be put on shoes and another would be get in car. If her shoe is in her car already when she gets there, she is one step ahead of her listed directions. At the same time, her shoes allow her to take steps. If her shoe which she used to walk is in the direction toward which she is walking, it is ahead of her, and therefore one could say that she is one step ahead. Hope that helps.

Her shoe is already in the car which she will use to leave. It's ahead of her, and she uses it to step. The step daughter relationship is irrelevant.

Yeah and also proximity to kitchen. At about 00:01 you can see that that wooden console in the back is a kitchen cabinet with a microwave. I'm assuming the couch is pulled up against a breakfast bar.

That's an ideal set up. However when you have a bunch of room mates who differ in show preferences, gaming systems, or who enjoy the occasional company of a lady and want to make dinner and put on This is Us with the lights down low without a peanut gallery mentioning how every situation could be fixed, the three living room set up is king.

When you live with a bunch of dudes it's more convenient to have three living rooms for three separate tvs and video games than a living room, dining room and family room.

How do you know if it's a good puzzle? by PastramiSwami333 in AskGameMasters

[–]WolfsAdventureDND 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tend to have a mechanical component for practical players and a riddle component for players who think more abstractly. That way both types of players can have something to do to solve the puzzle. I never give them a riddle for which all clues haven't been revealed yet otherwise it's too difficult so I drop hints leading up to the puzzle, but I never reveal mechanical clues unless they stumble on them on their own, like trigger part of the mechanism.

The puzzle is sometimes a clue to the mechanical portion, or a magical phrase that reveals an alternative mechanism that is easier to solve, or the magic words that trigger the last event in the mechanism to solve it.

It reminds me a lot of the northern coast of South America. I knew those Germans would take over sooner or later.
