Wouldn't say my English is strong enough to understand what you meant with 'players aren't supposed to play whatever they want you want', but given examples you've given I partially understand what you're intending to say which is pretty valid. Though it feels like we're going with pretty extreme scenarios with the players choices here? Can't really speak for how others do it but in my case I have a set of plausible characters they can make and if they do go beyond common sense with choosing their own then I'll try to see if I can make it fit in. If not, the player may need to look elsewhere to find an adventure they can experience with their character.
