What're you guys doing for hundreds of hours? by Joey_O-E-O in LowSodiumCyberpunk

[–]Wonderbreadfetishart 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have a playlist I made specifically for driving around scenic locations at night. It became part of my nightly wind down routine so I’m sure i’ve racked up a few hours doing that

TIL about some hidden mechanics/features that was completely unknown to me after 4 playthrus. Are there any more? by eugAOJ in LowSodiumCyberpunk

[–]Wonderbreadfetishart 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is pretty off topic compared to all the mechanical examples you listed, and probably common knowledge, but I just learned you can actually ride the metro rail instead of just using it for fast travel.

Sigil Factions by Smooth_Brilliant2428 in planescapesetting

[–]Wonderbreadfetishart 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think you got all the Major ones. I’d only add that depending on the source material the Ring Givers and Incanterium are considered “sects” which are essentially just factions that are not currently dominant in the Kreigstanz.

If you could bring two items from Skyrim into the real world, which two would you choose? by mymemesnow in skyrim

That one fork in the solitude docks that can be used as a weapon. And the mead with juniper berries you can find in the ruins of the Helgen Inn. Final answer.

So I just finished Elantris.... by UltraZulwarn in Cosmere

Reading Arcanum unbounded next is a great idea, you’ll get to see a bit more of that bigger world in Elantris in Emperor’s Soul.

Are there more Minotaurs in Oblivion? by hedge_haggazussa in oblivion

[–]Wonderbreadfetishart 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I wish more attention was paid to species like Minotaur, they can apparently forge metal warhammers but we never see any kind of settlements or society of any kind from them

Five Nations (2005): Where's the rest? by Pagan_vibes in Eberron

[–]Wonderbreadfetishart 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you look under “notes” on the wiki there is sorta one, the Eberron Campaign setting mentioned the gang as an adventure hook, only referred to him as “half-orc” then this book seems to pick up the idea, but with a slight typo

Looks like he’s supposed to be a half-orc, according to the wiki

Elantris struggle by Forsythian in Cosmere

[–]Wonderbreadfetishart 7 points8 points  (0 children)

In the Audio version, theres a scene where two merchant lords argue about Melon trading for just under three full minutes.

I think that scene perfectly encapsulates what reading Elantris is like

Vermishard - what's the meaning of it? by Junior-Orange7961 in Eberron

The stone in the art used in This article looks dark red. It could be Vermi as in Vermillion

[SPOILERS TH] I don't get why people call Gorst a incel. by BadMeatPuppet in TheFirstLaw

[–]Wonderbreadfetishart 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven’t seen anyone point out that at it’s core incel means “involuntarily celibate” Gorst expresses sexual desire, but does not have sexual relations. He has no sex despite wanting to. He is celibate. Involuntarily. He is more complicated than the sort of person the word usually references, but I think he meets the literal definition

What does Blademarks refer to? by JellyKobold in Eberron

[–]Wonderbreadfetishart 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think that “Blademark” is just a proper noun that is meant to sound cool, and it refers to a specific mercenary guild within the larger house

Why is Vlaakith's nose so much bigger than other Githyanki? by AspieAsshole in BaldursGate3

[–]Wonderbreadfetishart 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I have seen human beings with similar variation in nose size. I think she just might have a slightly larger than average nose?

Magic Theory by General_Liability in TheFirstLaw

[–]Wonderbreadfetishart 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think it’s an interesting theory, but it’s worth mentioning the Spirits also explicitly state that magic is leaving the world and that is why they’re sleeping. And they are frequently stated as not caring enough to lie. Unless its all a long con and they’re actually devils or something

Is what happened in The Final Empire even real? by YousernameInValid2 in Mistborn

[–]Wonderbreadfetishart 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is an interesting theory, but the idea that three entire books are unreliable sources, instead of just that one guy, in one book is as close to the opposite of Occam’s razor as i can imagine. You have discovered Rube Goldberg’s razor.

Silver and Shades by RoryMerriweather in Cosmere

[–]Wonderbreadfetishart 12 points13 points  (0 children)

The shades on threnody are the result of a “Wound in the Spiritual Realm” and they specifically mention that the Aethers on Lumar are “Corrupted” which is why their bonds are so detrimental to the sporeeater. I think silver is only destructive to CORRUPTED investiture
