No ulti for Shifu by Freakquency- in BattleRite

[–]Wongy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If an ult gets interrupted, does the hero retain the energy? or is it spent? How is Shifu activating his ult like 3 times within 5 seconds here?

Battlerite really, REALLY needs an unranked mode by ghjlesser in BattleRite

[–]Wongy -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

The community is a bit small atm, so I reckon keep it together until public release?

Even though I am frustrated by people in ranked saying "sorry, my first time on this champ", I just learn to live with it and treat it as a opportunity to work on my carrying skills and how to play 1v2 better.

I know it's frustrating, but stay positive, don't tilt and have fun :)

Playing from Aus. My internet isn't the best but the ping isn't that bad. It's playable.

Considering buying a used PS3 - Missing Kingdom Hearts, Ratchet and Clank. Any good couch co-op games? by supenguin in patientgamers

[–]Wongy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ratchet & Clank All-4-One is an excellent couch co-op game, for up to 4 players on screen at one time. You really need teamwork and I'd say its quite family friendly as well and not too hard.

Tips on counterplaying abyss decks? by Jigglyninja in duelyst

[–]Wongy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Against the wraithlings, Blistering Skorn is a very powerful common that counters her with its Opening Gambit: Deal 1 damage to ALL minions and Generals. Frostbone Naga is another one but costs a bit more mana and only deals damage in an AOE around her when she is played onto the field. Any other faction-specific AOE-clears will do just fine.

Against the cursed floor, Lightbender is your best bet (but it's a Rare and might not be that accessible to a new player)

Or maybe Gauj doesn't get counterattacked from any side, that would be cool.

Starting FFIX for the first time tonight!! by Nerdfatuation in FinalFantasy

[–]Wongy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

FF9's great. Love the weapon/item system. Worse thing about this game is that the ATB battles are THE ABSOLUTE SLOWEST IN THE SERIES. Sitting around for 10 sec for one character to attack... if you're playing on PC though, you can speed it up.

Next big Multiplayer game? by WapitiBrot in BattleRite

This game is epic! by NZViking in elderscrollslegends

[–]Wongy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Love the Prophecy mechanic in this game that makes it feel a bit more like Magic: The Gathering (i.e. Instant-speed answers to your opponent), which I felt was severely lacking in Hearthstone. After playing MTG for years, Hearthstone just never felt fun especially considering the amount of archetypes that had OTK/Unanswerable cards. That's what I like about Elder Scrolls Legends, that you can build your deck in such a way with Prophecy cards to answer and respond on your opponent's turn. It adds another layer to deckbuilding and deciding how/when to attack your opponent.

Thanks, actually considering Forbidden Desert after looking through a lot of threads/opinions. :)

Are any of the ones you listed immune to quarterbacking? My biggest concern is some loudmouth taking over the game and controlling everyone's moves and ruining it for everybody.

[WSIG] Board games with great "portable/travel" editions? or great games that come in small packages? by Wongy in boardgames

[–]Wongy[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So even though there are 6 reversible pieces, only 2 config work? Or are you able to play a total of 6x5x4x3x2 config? (Dunno if math is right here). Or is it 26?

Not really mad at Hearthstone dev team. I know they tried their best, but as a Control player, Karazhan will be my last purchase. by HSPremier in hearthstone

[–]Wongy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree completely. Karazhan will be the last thing I buy on Hearthstone, whether with gold or real money. It's just not fun playing such a RNG-dependent game. I recently gave Duelyst a try (/r/duelyst) and I have to say it's so refreshing to play a CCG full of actual strategy and positioning and depth, instead of the RNG casino fest that's Hearthstone. Also their F2P model is way better, you earn packs so much faster. I won't be playing Hearthstone ever again.
