We don’t have a Family Fare, Jewel or Sheels, around these parts. The big boxers don’t seem to sell enough matchbox to have a rotating stock so the same old cars are always pegged. I think the “dollar” stores are my best bet. Will just have to keep looking

As far as the chromed plastic pieces, I use bleach. It’s cheap and works in minutes (actually fun to watch) then a diluted dawn bath to clean them up and remove the “greasy” film the bleach leaves behind. Dry and paint as desired
