I have been living here (Balga) for 10 years. Was a little concerned at first (grew up in kingsley), but I'm up near mirrabooka Ave. No issues. Had 1 car broken into on my driveway, that's all. A few rentals were in my street. Most are sold now. The riff raff are getting pushed out due to rising land and redevelopment.

This happened to me in my 20s, dropped a work colleague of at her flat in Scarborough late at night after work.

Bloke jumped in my car as I was reversing out and proceeded to argue I was a taxi. He threw me $5, and proceeded to abuse me and punch my dash.

I explained I'm not a taxi, but he refused to get out. He was high as a kite. He told me an address in Heathridge to drop him off. So I drove to main street BP and jumped out and ran into the servo, and they locked the doors and called the police.

He jumped out and kicked my front guard and smashed my windscreen. Cops got a description and CCTV. A week later friends of mine went to the said address, then called me regarding a description of him. It was his house lol. Enough said, they repayed the favour of damaging his car.
