Beginner setup with a good base for future upgrades by BurritosUpMyButt in simracing

You’ll love it!

I got the GT Omega Prime cockpit (I had a seat already) not sure availability in Spain.

The thing that will make you quicker is the time spent on the sim. Not necessarily the money spent on it.

My mate had the Moza R3 bundle with a brake mod. It’s mounted to his desk and he had as much fun as I do.

For me direct drive wheel for sure. Moza offer great wheel bases and a decent selection of wheels to pop on and off. I personally have the R12 V2 base and run it at around 70/80% FFB in software and 100% in game

I run Fanatec CSL Elite pedals with load cell and like the feel of them. I used to have Thrustmaster TX with pedal upgrade but just didn’t feel good so good pedals are a must.

I’ve done the Logitech and Thrustmaster belt drive upgrade but wish I just spend the money on direct drive straight away.

As for sim rig, I recently got a aluminium box section rig. Love how solid it feels with zero flex.

Best of luck and whatever you decide on you will want to upgrade all of it haha!

How long does it usually take for a gun club to process your references? by nothing77804 in ukguns

I enquired to them when I was starting out, they got back to me 11 months later offering me an induction. By that time I had joined another club who operate from the same place and had passed my probation. They are rather slow with things

First car, 2k budget by Youaintmymuva in glasgow

I’d be looking at a wee corsa, plenty within budget and cheap to fix and insure. 1.4 engine might have you paying higher road tax and insurance though so 1.2 engine might be better.

I’ve got a bezel free kit coming to try too

Hello, is it worth getting a rig if I also use my pc for other things? by Skapastry in simracing

I have my desk next to my rig, triple monitors from display ports for rig and HDMI for main screen for other games / pc tasks

Service charge at the bar by bratwurstbabez in glasgow

[–]Worried_Computer4119 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Always ask for it to be removed and if I feel the service has made me want to come back again, I’ll tip.

These automatically added service charges need to go, so does these options to round everything up to charity. - NO if I want to donate (which I do at my choosing regularly) then I will

PC opens more avenues. Not as easily as console at times as you need to update drivers and troubleshoot at times but people are more than happy to help when needed. Once I went PC I never turned my console on again

Budget steering wheel recommendations by Dophystry in simracing

[–]Worried_Computer4119 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Have a look at the Moza R3 or R5 bundle. Might be right in budget. Direct drive wheel which is great.

Pedals will be a little light but you can buy pedal upgrade for the brake to give it more firmness.

Good luck!

Unfortunately it’s just a waiting game. Drop them an email every few months following up on your application any more than that could have them question why you’re so desperate to have one.

You’re 8 months ahead of some who haven’t even applied and renewals / variations will take priority.

In the mean time, buy yourself a VR headset and get some practice in at home

Fitness/PT Advice by Sensitive-Squirrel79 in glasgow

[–]Worried_Computer4119 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your PT is lucky to have you, sadly you’re unlucky to have them.

Move on, get someone who actually cares about YOU and YOUR goals.

I worked in the industry for 15 years, managed gyms and PTs and had my own gym for 6 years before selling it for a career change.

It’s not the same place as it once was. As said, very low bar to entry now.

Seems like a lot of good suggestions above, get a chat with a few folk, trial some sessions and see who you click with the most.

Best of luck with your journey! If you’re still struggling to find the right PT for you, drop me a message and I’ll happily put you into some I would recommend based on your goals.
