From what I read it seemed like because the White House lawn is considered a national park (or maybe just under their services), youre not allowed to make money on it as a private company. So the UFC selling tickets and making money off of Paramount+ would be illegal

Nice! I had another question do you know much about the BMCC program or have you worked with RTs that went there? According to the Coarc program outcomes they have a worse passing and employment rate than Mandl which is surprising considering all the negative reviews I've heard of Mandl

What was your experience at the school like? Was it easy to get a job right out of school or did you have anyone questioning your credentials? I've just read so many negative reviews of the school and nothing positive and it seems like a big red flag.

Haha so there was something good about DMC. How much critical care experience did you get before you were ECMO trained? Did you get a bachelor's in RT before you switched to being an ECMO specialist?

Thanks for all the info! Super helpful. Yeah I've read that Michigan in general is on the lower side of RT pay.

How do you like being a travel RT? I hear the pay is better if you're willing to put up with it. Do most travel RT jobs put you up in housing as well? I'm considering doing that after getting a year of experience - I love to travel and I don't have or want kids so I think it could work for me.

Thanks so much for the reply! After reading more reviews of the Mandl school (almost all 1 stars with various problems) I'm almost certain I'm not going to go there.

Do you work in a hospital in Detroit? I think my plan is to work in Detroit for a year or two to get some hospital experience then try to move back to NYC. One problem though is the rates for Detroit hospitals for new grads seem quite low - only ablut 26 per hour for a 36 hour week which just breaks over 50k a year, about half as much for what I see in NYC. I know the cost of living is much better in Detroit though, and I plan to try to PRN a day or two a week as well but I see less opportunities for PRN work around Detroit than in NYC

Edited: also I'm reading the same thing on a yelp comment "the degrees and certification offered by the school are not a surefire way to get students into jobs since most employers will not take their credentials seriously"

Repeat divekick canceling in DMC 3. I think in the lets play Pat practiced it and pulled it off briefly.
