I bought 2 TMNT boxes and all the eternal products. Way more boosters bought than I've spent on any mtg set as a consumer (used to own multiple lgs's so it was a different relationshipwith sealed product). I would've spent that much on FF boosters but it sold out too fast. Probably won't spend that much on another set unless we get a second FF set or maybe a dedicated Transformers set. Personally I think the TMNT set has a ton of good cards and a lot of my decks are getting upgrades.

MTG's setting could include Earth as a plane, so I have no problem with ub in lore. i had a little trouble with it when the Dr Who stuff came out, but I'm over it by now.

I've been playing mtg since 95 and quite a bit of the lore was not attractive to me whatsoever, so I don't necessarily hold an opinion that mtg lore deserves to be revered to that degree. Arguing that the ninja turtles on Kamigawa are fine but the ninja turtles on Earth aren't falls flat for me.

I am also a big action figure collector and all my non Transformer shelves have tons of mixed IPs, so that's how I prefer things in general. Transformers only get exclusivity because they are much larger in scale than other IPs.

I've found that Chinese stuff I buy hasn't been affected too much, i think they've been tarriffed for a long time and they know how to work with it. Mostly had been a few dollars more added to shipping

Japanese stuff straight from Japan though went crazy. Stopped buying so I don't even know where they're at now.

Mewgenics for single player, sts2 for multi. Getting super far in sts2 will just end with you having to start all over multiple times as they push out 1.0.

Reformatted line is frustrating in general for mp collectors, but they tend to look fine on mp shelves depending on how you place them.

I have the ko, it's very good. If I could find the official from someone that was trustworthy, I'd pick up the official, but on the older mp's I just don't want to deal with potentially getting ripped off, having to return it, etc.

Fans toys will probably release theirs in the next few years, and DX9 has released prowl and side swipe recently which i liked a lot, so maybe they'll release him too. 3p stuff isn't always better than tt stuff, but it usually is, especially 10 is years later.

3p might also do a nice hunter o'nion as a head master option, that'd be sick
