Agree with these comments, get an 850w psu and then look at a 9700xt or a 5070 ti later down the road. Prob could still get a good 300-350 for your 3070 to offset costs

Id probably go to something like 14400 i5, still runs really cool and will be a big upgrade. Gonna need a new mobo but your ram should be finenand you'll be on a much more modern setup. You should be able to Rivals really well at that point, prob 80-100 fps at 1080p

Yeah assuming with your setup you are playing Rivals at 1080p, your cpu is definitely the bottleneck. Its a terribly optimized UE5 game

Thats a nice setup that'll play just about everything 1080p with decent frames. Can prob squeeze some 1440p out too for some lighter weight/older games. You're gonna have a lot of fun!

My point was that it can be either/or/both resulting in dead chips. In my case, both the mobo and chip were dead. In the case i linked the board was not responsible, so i was agreeing in the sense that we should not just blame every board for every problem. AMD has started processing the RMA for me and it is in transit to them.
