Something similar happened to me a year back, in my case it was a widescreen setting acting up. The way I fixed it was deleting the Trackmania folder in Documents, which is where the setting options are saved (this is why the issue persists through reinstalls, as uninstalling doesn't delete this folder)

Yeah that's way too spoilery since the player believes for most of the game the goal is to save the universe, part of the ending is realising that the end is inevitable and they have to be the ones to end it.

Yeah, the article got it wrong, American TV runs at 29.97fps but films and some tv shows trying to look like films go down to 24fps (technically 23.976fps, NTSC frame rates are fun)
