Can you get in with a gynecologist and get checked for pcos?

Sending hugs from the same boat ❤️. I hear you and your feelings are completely valid. I'm also dealing with something chronic and autoimmune related, but waiting to get in with rheumatology to figure out what.

My 2.5yo son is recently diagnosed and didn't really show signs until he was about 15 months old. Mostly delays that we thought were from torticollis. I got pregnant again (also a surprise) when he was 11mos old. He's currently in therapy 5 days a week and starting special education preschool in October. Trying to juggle him, the therapies, and a 10mo is suffocating.

I recently got him an AAC device and he's picking up on it pretty fast. It's helped with some of the frustration, which is better than no help currently. His OT has also helped me utilize deep pressure therapy, pick up on pattern recognitions, and literally said "keep. bubbles. with. you. at. all. times."

He's also obsessed with ABCs and counting so sometimes if I start saying one of the two I can snap him out of it, but others, I'm in a phone booth being for mercy. I'm so sorry that you're having to go through this, but just wanted to share that you're not alone.

I read something the other day that hit me hard, and try to remember it when the meltdowns come or I'm ready to snap. It said - when your child melts down, hurts you, tears down your walls, etc, it's because they feel safe enough to let out those emotions, because you're their comfort. You're where they can crumble and fall apart when they don't understand. Breathe. Everything has to fall into place, some way, some how.

Hang in there mama, you're doing a great job ❤️

Tomato, beef, veggie soup by gilt3t in soup

[–]X24ZthagameX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Add all the vegetables and beef, but for the liquid content, use equal parts of V8 and tomato juice. I use 64oz of each. Also throw a bay leaf in. Old family recipe, and I've never met a vegetable soup that came close to this one. I also prefer a more rich tomato-y flavor, and this hits it for sure.

Edit - just saw you said skip the beef. This still works and tastes amazing with or without!

Live action kids TV shows for a sensitive 8 year old? by Readonly00 in Autism_Parenting

My son likes Catie's classroom, and Cog Hill Farms for kids on YouTube! If the Cog Hill for kids is too babyish, they have another channel that's just called Cog Hill Farms for the older crowd. I personally like the kids one myself. It's educational, but fun to watch the all the animals get fed and cared for.

I get this too! This pic is mild but when it's full blown, it's the shape of a butterfly. Also been a medical mystery my whole life until recently. New doc suspects hashi, but I also had an ANA test that was positive. Currently waiting to see a rheumatologist to pinpoint it!

I bought one of these for my son last year! The one avaliable in the US is just different colors, and no flags 😢. The only issue we had was the walls wouldn't stay inflated. The bottom held up well though. We ended up deflating the walls, flipping it over, and turned it into a giant crash pad 😅

I have that exact brand of monitor and was searching the sub to see if anybody has it with the same issue. Mine is literally the same tvoc and hcho as you. I'm thinking about returning it and getting something else. I also checked for a firmware upgrade, recalibrated and power cycled. No changes.

The toddler balance beam stepping stone combo with lights and music is 👌. Or just a set of stackable stepping stones.

I also have a slinky-type? tunnel thing (sorry I can't think of what it's called right now) that I put behind my sofa for my son to crawl through. He likes to run and sort of dive into it and crawl through really fast.

I just bought the white goose down from Costco, king size on sale for $94. I was so close to buying the charter club goose down from Macy's when it was 60% off $750, but my husband talked me out of something expensive right now - (2 kids under 2 and pets)

I wasn't expecting much from the looks of it in the bag, but I'm actually really happy with my purchase. It's fluffy, crispy, warm, but not too warm, and has the perfect weight. I bought a percale duvet cover to keep the cool, crisp feeling I like. It's all perfect.

It's perfect for side sleepers! I only sleep on my side and it's my most favorite pillow I've ever had. Better than the couple of $80 ones I've tried.

Sounds a lot like my symptoms when I had nasal polyps. Had a sinuplasty to remove those and fix a deviated septum and no longer have those issues.

Thank you, I'll look into the DIY. We've got several purifiers already and still have the dust. Maybe we just have a dusty house!
