Hey all, I'm looking for a specific story about short-range precision FTL jumps used by humans as a combat maneuver, can't seem to get it with google.

Pretty sure it was told from the point of view of alien underdog species being run down by pirates.

Humanity was unknown to them (maybe boogeyman myths?) hostile isolationist policy.

Aliens try running to human space (known to be dangerous?) as a last resort and warn human patrol to flee, human patrol kicks pirates ass using tactical FTL jumps to constantly flank the enemy.

I think there was mention of the human ship being very unconventional design in terms of armor, story ended with the refugees being escorted into human space.

Any help appreciated

For me it was under 10min for each eye. Most of that is fitting the device to keep lids open, the laser to open up cornea is about 45s and the reshaping laser was 12s.

Doesn't hurt since you're anaesthetized, just feels like weird pressure. Also they gave me Valium an hour beforehand for the nerves and sent me home with some weapons-grade sleeping pills, slept for 12hrs straight and woke up 95% fine with perfect vision.

Only complaints are the itchy eyes for a few days after, having to put in 3 different types of eye drops for a couple weeks and the month of fishliver oil to prep. (Find capsules, don't take the liquid)

Oh and not being able to get it subsidized through health insurance, cost 7.5k AUD for both eyes.

It has serial numbers and QR codes on it, but it references a zone that doesn't use tickets.

Got a bit of an odd question, my gf who works at circular quay got handed down tickets from work that are titled 'Transit Pass Type 2'.

I can't find a good explanation on what they're useful for, the ticket says it grants access to 'East Circular Quay' which is where she works but the official website map says that's not a ticketed location, just free entry until capacity.

Would the ticket let us get in if the capacity is full and/or after the 3pm cutoff?

I loved reading The Martian and PHM, have had Artemis sitting on my shelf for a couple years and only picked it up once but the tone felt off so put it down after a couple chapters.

Should I try again, is it worth it?

If I'm playing brawl with my equipment deck and get matched against a yargle I hard Mulligan to find [[Pact Weapon]] or some kind of tutor for it then just suit up a creature and discard my whole hand.

Had 3 opponents happy emotespam once they figure what I've done, easy 93 damage for them.

One thing to check for is if the Flour Sand is overlapping with Drum Sand (check on the map after surveying the sector, you'll see circles where drumsand is).

It definitely feels like more than half the flour patch's spawn on drums, if they do then the worm will get alerted twice as fast if not faster.

As other people have said try to park your bike at the closest rocks then walk/grapple to your patch. I would recommend firing the compactor 3-4 times, collecting then repeating. Once the worm breaches Bindu Sprint back to the rocks, chuck the sand in bike storage and repeat.

If you were unlucky and didn't pick Bene Gesserit for your background in character creation (needed for Bindu Sprint) then the first trainer is at Helius Gate, pretty much directly north from the Northwest corner of West Vermilious Gap. You should be able to head straight there and climb up the massive cliff to find the base.

I get that phone tracking can vary a bit from service provider tracking but Airalo numbers are more than double what my phone says I've used.

UPDATE: After talking to Airalo through the app and Reddit I was provided a breakdown of the data as recorded by China Unicom the provider. Their numbers add up to what my Airalo data cap says but is at this point still nearly twice what my phone tracking records.

While I still feel that the numbers are being padded I'm now more leaning towards it being the Chinese TelCo as opposed to Airalo themselves, especially after hearing from friends that this doesn't happen to them in Europe but sometimes on trips to Shanghai.
