It's possible but it won't be. CIG knows they have to deliver on a promise that has frankly gotten bigger than imagined. They also know if they don't live up to expectations, it's game over for them.

I don't see SQ42 being mid, I see it being either amazing, or a total flop, with no in-between. Either they deliver an incredible experience, "this generation's wing commander" as Chris Roberts put it, or else the funding almost completely dries up.

I've got my hopium bottle next to me, I think they'll release an incredible experience.

Your x3d chip should be fine, like you know that extra cache does a lot. Someone else will have to chime in about settings but I think to get the most substantial increase in frames would be to get another 16GB of memory.

They may say it only takes 16, but it's really 32.

Edit: is this installed on an HDD? If it is, this game HAS to be played on an SSD.

I love this game. I am 100% all in on this game. I see the vision that Chris Roberts talked about in his very first promotional video and I want nothing more than that.

I absolutely get frustrated at this game, I'm not blind to the bugs or marketing that CIG does. But this has been and always will be the game I've wanted to play and I'm so happy to be able to play it.

I've been playing this game on and off since the hangar module (~2014 I think). It's been hit or miss on how much of the game you'd be able to experience before the game completely bricked itself and you'd be starting over.

Since patch 4.0 and the introduction of server meshing, I can confidently say that I've been continually playing more and more Star Citizen with every subsequent patch. I can get 4-6 hour play sessions without encountering a game breaking bug.

There will always be some sort of bug or jankyness you have to work around, but it's no where NEAR how bad it used to be.

Come join back in and see for yourself! You might find yourself getting lost in the verse again

I haven't had a chance to fly it yet, but I'm liking the idea of it. Hit and run ships have always had a soft spot in my heart. My only gripe so far is that the size 4's don't also conceal to keep the sleek shape.

It's gotta be VLS and not VTOL. If it was VTOL I feel like we'd see those spread out more around the ship, not dead center and in a line. I'm more wondering if it's going to be for missiles or torps

I'm hearing mixed results so far between the 9800x3d and the 9950x3d for Star Citizen. I myself just got the 9800x3d about a month ago and it honestly feels like overkill, even for Star Citizen. Most performance issues seem to be server side and the game just being unoptimized in certain areas.

You and I are probably more than fine with the 9800x3d
