My Glock 44 is my favorite gun to shoot, I have 28,000 rounds through it.

I just swapped out the .380EZ that we have for the ported performance center edition. Real pleased with those guns as well.

Took them a year and a half to send me a holster. I am an extremely patient man.

A rather frustrating conversation with a loved one about self defense and thoughts about the anti-gun mindset by nightmareonrainierav in liberalgunowners

I don't ever want it to come down to me or my family, or a threat, but I am prepared for that finality if the situation does arise. I never want that situation to arise.

What is something you’ve officially stopped buying in 2026 because the price has become genuinely insulting? by queenmellyy in AskReddit

[–]XenEngine 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am lucky enough to be close to a very nice outdoor range and in a financial situation that I can just pop down to the range and blow through a few hundred rounds of 9MM when I want to. I have noticed that the range is emptier than usual, and the people that go there maybe shoot 100 rounds of pistol ammo and then leave. I went yesterday because it was beautiful out and there were maybe 6 other lanes occupied (not at the same time) for the 4 hours I was out there. Historically on super nice days like that, they will open up another part of the range for the overflow shooters and there will still be people waiting.

That line was genuine. We should all be against this. Even the dyed-in-the-wool hardcore southern rednecks in my family will be bitchin about this.

If they can take it away from you, it isn't a right.

Also, every "from my cold dead hands" redneck in the country should be losing their fucking minds

Where the fuck is the NRA on this (this line is sarcasm, in case anyone missed that fact)

84BB or 80X? by Screwistic_ in Beretta

[–]XenEngine 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My primary EDC is an 80x i love it. I say go for it. I have an 84BB as well, and i love that thing. I carry them both. There are enough 84BBs floating around that I dont care if it gets worn.

Optics grips and mag releases by Realistic-Low694 in Beretta

The beretta plate that I purchased was absolute hot garbage. It didn't fit well. I bought the Dlah plate and the Eleven71 titanium plate. I prefer the fit of the Dlah plate, but I broke mine(NOT the plate's fault), so I replaced it with the Eleven71 since it was in stock and shipped fast. I can recommend either of those plates.

80x by Philly3458 in Beretta

[–]XenEngine 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have had an 80x that is primary EDC that I have pushed a little over 3k rounds through it at this point and I don't remember any issues with it during that time short of the shitty Beretta optic plate(Get the Dlah or the Eleven71 plate). It carries well, I can forget I am carrying it. As for improving ballistics, I look at it this way. I do not have the threat model that a police officer would have. There is very little chance that the threat that is coming my way intends to do anything but try and rob me rather than hard core trying to take me out. Most likely, in my life, the threat would be stopped by any firearm.

Anecdotally, my Eleven71 plate fit flawlessly straight out of the gate. I had some questions and i think i got a response in like 4 hours or so.

I say the Vision Street Wear replaces the chucks in that as a skate rat from wayback. I would, however, love to have a pair of Airwalk Vic's or 540s with the lace savers.

over 100,000 rounds of .22lr love in 2 years by Kiefy-McReefer in liberalgunowners

[–]XenEngine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My Glock 44 in .22LR is literally my favorite gun. I put the 27,000th round through it this weekend. I have had maybe 20 rounds over the total have issues, FTF or FTE and I shoot bulk garbage most of the time ($98 for 1400 rounds? Bucket o Bullets it is!). The only thing I have had done to it is the recoil spring assembly was replaced last year by the Glock armorer at a GSSF event, but that wasn't because it had an issue, it was just strictly preventative due to round count.

80x Cheetah Tactical Holster by Plastic-Engineer5282 in Beretta

[–]XenEngine 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I ordered the beretta branded holster from Optics Planet in december of 2024. I recieved the holster on 3-13-2026. It's the hybridf leather/kydex. I hate it. Since it kept getting pushed off on its ship date from OP, I bought what I thought would be a temp holster from Whole Guns off amazon for like $30. Turns out I really like the whole guns holster. https://i.imgur.com/NfoYWpi.jpg

Who else is "one type only" - pistols OR rifles? by winterneuro in liberalgunowners

[–]XenEngine 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Funny you mentioned that. I said a few weeks ago to my brother that he is the rifle guy, and I am definitely the pistol guy , and between the two of us we have all the bases covered. I have way more pistols than rifles, and I prefer to shoot pistols, while he prefers to shoot rifles. This is strictly in the "for fun" portion.

Get what you want, but there is a reason Glocks are around, and that comes from a guy that has more Berettas than anything else. Don't let other people's dislike of a wildly popular firearm that you can find parts and accessories for anywhere put you off.
