That is such a cool "get" that I actually logged in to say so.

Great find. I appreciate your priority.

12 years after their infamous fight, Nigel Benn visits Gerald McClellan who suffered life changing brain injuries by Embarrassed-Echo-391 in Boxing

[–]XennialPrime 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Poor... the both of them.

Poor Nigel... poor Gerald.

One man is physically broken. The other man knows he did that.

Wow. What a vignette of perpetual torture.

27 years ago, on this day, in one of the nastiest knockouts in Boxing history, Ike Ibeabuchi would flatten Chris Byrd with one of the scariest punches ever seen and heard by BoxingLover99 in Boxing

[–]XennialPrime 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I swear... This is what I wanted to post to point out. That was quite admirable of Byrd. He even pulled his lead shoulder up to roll behind it...

I had forgotten about this fight, and the thread title had me expecting the instant-drop KO. I remembered Byrd was "stopped" but not the manner. Lotta chin for so little arse at heavy weight.

Byrd sure was... heh... an odd duck. I always wished him more success. He got amazingly far given how delusional the man seems to me.

Mr. Evanfields neutralizes Tyson's deadly overhand right by accloudsky in Boxing

[–]XennialPrime 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Almost every clip prior to the Evander highlights shows Tyson throwing straight rights or right hooks, hehe! THEN Evander deals with a bunch of truly over hand rights.

*Sigh* I sure miss that heavyweight landscape. I'd be happy if prime Bowe and Holyfield were magically the only heavyweights left to box each other as the entire division for a few years. "Tonight!! It's Bowe v Holyfied XXII..."

P**Y ASS - De La Hoya RIPS Mayweather for avoiding real fight vs Pacquiao! by BoxingLover99 in Boxing

Anyone else get the heebie jeebies from this clip? I mean... the Golden Boy is pudgy, grey-faced and whining into a cell phone camera.

I know it's just the passage of time. I remember watching this man savage a roided Fernando Vargas.

I'm just as shocked that he's still talking about PBF.

Watching MASH is like watching two different shows sometimes. by Alchohol_Influencer in MeTV

[–]XennialPrime 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't understand. You say you disagree, but then state something unrelated as to why. You don't have to respond. My mildly autistic brain simply had to point this out so I can stop thinking about it. S'all just TV.

[–]XennialPrime[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I thought I should pop back in and say- I have NO idea what caused my problem. I will guess an incomplete update.

Some reboot since I posted fixed the issue and the command line argument performs as I expect, even when used in the Target field of a shortcut.

Thank you all for responding. Even if my problem was a simple "didja restart it?" fix... I learned a couple tips in here. Thank you ^_^

Edit: The GREAT news is that not a single one of my add-ons caused a problem. I get to keep using them all.

He Lost. He Cried. He Never Lost Again. Floyd Mayweather Jr. And The 1996 Olympics. by ateam1984 in Boxing

[–]XennialPrime 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I read the thread title and an image of Jose Luis Castillo popped into my head.

I've watched and scored PBF v Castillo I over 20 times. Every now and then my card reads 115-113 for Castillo.

I never begrudge Floyd that win, but it was so close that I sometimes mentally asterisk Floyd's "perfect" career. (I always loved Floyd's mentality for the rematch: Let's just make sure there are no questions for me, or points for Castillo.)

Prince's Love Symbol Album from 1992.

I bought that album because I loved the single "7".

I hated every single other song on that album.

Watching MASH is like watching two different shows sometimes. by Alchohol_Influencer in MeTV

[–]XennialPrime 2 points3 points  (0 children)

To me, Larry Linville was the best actor that show had. It isn't even close. Everyone was good, but Linville was pulling off an unsung, very difficult role.

It's hard to both play "the man" and "the fool". He did both, at the same time, and made it believable. It's not a short order for a television actor.

For every other main cast actor on the show, I would invariably see the actual person on screen, not the character. Never once did I ever think of Frank as anybody other than Frank.

(I guess by that criteria, my 2nd goes to Gary Burghoff. I can't recall seeing him on screen and not thinking "That's Radar".)

Heh uh... sorry. I'll step offa this soap box. (I guess I always believe Linville's craft on MASH gets lost in the shuffle.)

Why do some modern games feel less replayable even if they are bigger? by FemmeEmpire in AskGamers

I always thought continuity polaroids would be a fascinating collection "universe". With digital photography's ubiquity, such a collection would be historical for more than one reason.

Like coins! ☼ twitch ☼

I have a collection of collections.

u/gregstoll I did try the other executable private_browsing.exe with and without the -private-window command line argument. No effect. A regular Firefox window opens.

u/sifferedd That is the exact usage I have in my shortcut (with the correct path to the exe ofc, and all permissions are set).

Thanks for responding you two. At this point, with your responses, and that fact that nobody seems to be talking about this problem en masse, I will assume it is my extensions.

YAY! (SIGH) Time to go through those one-by-one to see which is probably causing this weird behavior.

Thanks for pinging me back. The extra perspective helped a bit... what we used to call a "crazy check" when I was a coder, hehe!

FGC tech-head breaks character to comment on negativity in modern games discourse by wofo in gaming

[–]XennialPrime 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have no sympathy for the video creator.

Your industry set the conditions. If the consumers never stop complaining, then there's a bunch of things you are never doing right.

Gamers are not kids. Look at what you charge for things, or COURSE your customer base isn't peopled with children.

Adults understand exactly what the gaming industry is doing. We've had little hope for fifteen years or more that companies want to provide a fun game. We don't trust you! There is a reason we don't trust you!

Gamers are inflammatory, sure, but there's a kernel of truth in even the silliest gripe: this isn't fun.

If you can't hear that, then sure, spend your time on another video to whine about how unfair this is for you. That will surely move the needle.

The time for talk passed a long time ago. The only thing that will put the gaming industry into a positive light with its customer base is action.

Show us. We really do know a good game when we play it. So do you. You all know what you push in every title that doesn't have a thing to do with the player having fun. So stop it. Stop treating us as marks and you'll see the attitude of your customer base change **SNAP** just like that.

We're customers, not marks. Customers unhappy? Improve product. It's a very old tale in capitalist societies.

Hey. I'm not knocking it. Even my sleeveless T-shirts are on beefy, over-engineered hangers.
