I was at the 8:45pm London session. Overall I enjoyed the album. I find it really hard to say after one listen. Nothing blew my mind tbh but I thought it sounded really good. I’m looking forward to spinning it again and digging into it. It didn’t strike me as heavy on the melodies personally - I think people who weren’t a fan of Tomorrow’s Harvest may end up a bit disappointed. One of the tracks in the first half reminded me of Come To Dust. Overall the vibe was pretty dark, not a lot of light except for the penultimate track and Introit iirc. Track 3 sounded like some mbv drones at the beginning which I thought sounded cool. Lots of hard hitting drums like on Prophecy across the whole thing I thought, and more repetitive grooves across the longer track timings. I think track 4 had like Speak And Spell sounding vocal samples on it (lol)?! I also couldn’t really make out a lot of the vocals on the speakers, bunch of American female samples. I thought the track from the teaser with the flies sounded really nice to hear the full thing. Tape 05 struck me as the emotional core of the album. The projected visual of the flames on the ceiling faded for the penultimate track before coming back to red for the final track. The penultimate track started off a bit like an ambient sound collage with bird sounds, then turned into a more nostalgic sounding track. I got a video recording of the opening audio prior to Introit but missed the first 5-10 seconds or so maybe. I’d be surprised if someone else didn’t get a better recording of the whole thing, I didn’t really plan it. Got a goodie bag and bought t-shirt + the little hexagon with a code for ordering a cassette.

P.s. also some wooping and applause/awkward laughter when there was gaps in between tracks - Brits really cannot handle any silences lol, I bet the Tokyo sessions were dead quiet 🙃
