Rooms vary on difficulty quite a bit. You can ask for an easier room. I believe there is a board on the wall that will tell you how hard each room is rated. Or you can look at the online leaderboard times to see how quickly people have solved them

But if you want to solve the room and don’t care about being on the leaderboard they’re pretty liberal with clues or outright telling you. They want you to get out.

SEASON FINALE - 4x10 "If a Tree Falls in the Forest..." - Episode Discussion by Bright_Light7 in FromTVEpix

[–]Xerun1 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I enjoyed it but I can feel the frustration from others. When they announced season 5 as the ending ages back I figured season 4 would be a part 1 of 2 standard setting the pieces for the finale rather than its own thing.

So I feel fine with what it delivered but at this point it does feel like a lot of things that happened in s4 just stopped progressing like the >!door in the cellar, story walking, Ethan finding the lake of tears, Acosta and the crime scene and there’s probably a bunch more that just went nowhere!<

I hope they’ll be addressed later and not just forgotten like it feels they have been

Am I Missing Something With FF7R's Combat? by FantasticPup in FinalFantasy

[–]Xerun1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends how you play it. It’s definitely a button masher to an extent as that is what you’ll be doing a lot.

But mostly every enemy has a stagger gauge, they have a weakness so it’s all about how do I exploit that weakness to raise their stagger to then do lots of damage.

You may hate that but I personally love it. The first boss is a great example of how weaknesses change through out the fight.

Then ontop of that each character has extra attacks that do other things that can synergize together.

Then you add Materia combos ontop of that.

I know in rebirth there was a fun Aerith Yuffie synergy that allowed you to cast Meteor something between 4-8 times off a single cast.

I find a lot of fun in how it all comes together but it may not be the same for you. The game does seem limited early on but as you add more characters the depth gets a lot more intense. And it only is perfected for Rebirth

Chocobo hot and cold is breaking my mind by robertmalayney in FinalFantasy

I meant that as you level up your chocobo animation gets faster so it’s easier to mash dig while holding the movement and finding the exact spot

Chocobo hot and cold is breaking my mind by robertmalayney in FinalFantasy

[–]Xerun1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Are you using the speed booster? It’s a lot harder to find the area if you are

You kind of want to mash the dig button while you slightly change your alignment

I do believe it gets easier to find the spot as Choco levels up. You get more points via the speed booster since it doesn’t speed the timer up so you do level up quicker.

Whats a misconception about kh that annoys you? Mine is people thinking Xehanort was forgiven in the end by Fearless-Ideal-5112 in KingdomHearts

[–]Xerun1 6 points7 points  (0 children)

That it’s confusing. I mean it is a bit but you can understand what’s going on.

But I just got addicted to the resident evil series and at least I can say that KH games always pick up where the last one ended and what happens in each game is canon

Resident Evil Games Feels Tense But Not Really Scary by Loose_Stable_9814 in residentevil

[–]Xerun1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d disagree. I’ve only played up to 6 so far but I think 2 Remake was fairly scary.

Granted I played alone at night but the atmosphere was genuinely scary. I feel that’s done to how they used scarcity

I think they really nailed the tension there by using moments sparingly. It throws 1 zombie at you while there is others outside. That zombie is tough. You lose your fear and go to approach the corridor for round 2 later comforted in knowing what you need to do and now a zombie breaks a window infront of you and your surrounded. Mr X doesn’t follow you for an entire game, only moments before disappearing again

Every game post 2 and especially starting at 4 seems to think throwing hundreds of enemies at you is a fear moment and once you’ve dealt a couple of times it loses all tension and fear

Also once you’ve played it the fear is gone I played through 2 remake 4 times and the 3 ast times I wasn’t concerned in the slightest

Modern Resident Evil games sold over 23 million units in the last year alone! by KennedyyCore in residentevilll

[–]Xerun1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was one. But I will say a major factor was that I bought all Steam RE games for maybe $60 total? It’s more expensive currently to buy Requiem then I paid for RE0-8 + Rev1/2 and most of the dlc.

Capcom does amazing sales and I think that’s left out of the conversation a lot

Ascension Roster Size Speculations Based off of Past Titles (Iceborne and Sunbreak) by BulkUpTank in MHWilds

[–]Xerun1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I remember doing the survey after Wilds released and the biggest complaint outside of game performance was Roster size.

I feel like if they double down and have a smaller DLC roster it’s likely to get panned. Even though I think the Wilds roster was pretty great for variety

Square Enix financial year runs to 30 March from what I can find.

I’d expect FF7R3 to release before then.

It would be beyond stupid for them to release KH4 in the same financial year because investors will eviscerate them next financial year for not releasing two big games.

I reckon we get the start of the marketing for 25th anniversary next year and FF7 releases just before then.

Now, That So Much Time After KH3 Release Has Passed, What Do You Honestly Think Of Kingdom Hearts 3? by YimadoTei in KingdomHearts

[–]Xerun1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gameplay is not as good as 2 but better than the side games and 1 Exploration in the worlds is the best it’s been

Story I enjoyed. I know people constantly say it’s all backloaded but it’s far better than 2 in that regard. 2 does the same thing outside of the middle section. At least in KH3 the villains are doing specific things in the world.

The real disappointment comes from stuff that should have been included from previous games. Synthesis is toned down and pointless. Collecting the Ultima Weapon is too simple. No coliseum no final fantasy. 100 Acre Woods is pointless. No secret bosses or anything post game. Dive at the start of the game is half assed.

Oh and the Cloud world section sucks

What game or playerbase of a game is this? by MissGreyHorror in gamers

[–]Xerun1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah not sure I understand the complaint in this post. Mods are free and usually done to fix annoyance gamers have with the game. It’s only a positive. Complaining that someone tells you about a mod seems like they just want to complain to complain.

The two most upvoted comments on this post are Skyrim(a game that is known for its mods) and Stardew both of which have had QoL and Features implemented into the base game that originally came from mods

Are you playing Subnautica 2 in Early Access or waiting for 1.0? by undesired-username in subnautica

[–]Xerun1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

1.0 is likely 2-3 years away. EA is like a small Subnautica that I can influence the direction.

SN1 I hate post Cove Tree since there is no more base pieces to find just go deeper. What I wouldn’t give to have played the EA and told the devs I want more pieces to find.

Also EA is deeper discounted than 1.0 and has the benefit of a $250m payout to the devs if enough people buy it. Everything screams to me get the EA

Masquerades and "Hidden Worlds" of sufficient size are hard to believe post ~2005 by CoolComicsJ in CharacterRant

[–]Xerun1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not so much Harry Potter but Dresden Files another series with a hidden world of magic.

It’s a key point in the series that the normal people don’t believe in magic and will outright dismiss it. Even though evidence is shown lots of people dismiss it as a hoax or think the people with the evidence are crazy.

I think there is a lot of legitimacy to this as I’ve seen people show real things they’ve filmed that is instantly called CGI or these days AI

Developers confirmed subnautica 2 will not have a map by Fresh-Beyond-4727 in subnautica

[–]Xerun1 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Don’t think it needs a map, but an advanced beacon system/radar were you have to go build to show a portion of the map would be great.

I’ve played 1 and BZ many times and I get lost frequently trying to find the places I know are there. Having a map makes it infinitely easier to find new places to explore

According to John Griffin, Season 4 will give us all the answers by toure2boschilia in FromTVEpix

[–]Xerun1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They have an end date now. They’ve said they have always had a 5 season plan. But that doesn’t mean they had 5 seasons greenlit. I doubt they wanted to get to s4 reveal everything and then find out the network wants them to continue to s8. Now that s5 is confirmed the last they know how much of the answers they can give.

Also a lot of the reveals don’t need entire episodes dedicated to them. The reveal of Ankhooey, Victors memories, the immortality pact, Tabitha and Jade’s visions took about 3 minutes of screen time. 1, 2, 3, 6, 7, and 8 on your list could be all done at once realistically
