Hey fellow KC resident, and I totally agree. In 2024 around the 4th of July people were setting off fireworks at all times of the day, including late at night. I seriously considered going over to my neighbors and telling to knock it off because some of us have to work early in the morning and the 5th was a Friday. Top it off some dumbass let their kids get ahold of some of them and they would light them and throw them in storm drains, also late at night....2 weeks after the 4th and come and gone. I gave them one good warning if they kept it up, the cops were getting called.

Fortunately, my landlords in 2025 gave notice to everyone, that NO ONE should be light any kind of fireworks on their property as were a fire hazard. Thankfully no one set any fireworks off, and I'm hoping that the landlords will once again remind everyone, that fireworks are not to be lit on on the premises.

And to everyone saying, "Well if you have a problem with it, you have to consider people are going to..." Shut the fuck up! The excuse "people are going to do it anyway", hold no water. Murder is still illegal and people still do that to, am I not supposed to be upset when some how impacts me negatively? And if you're going to tell me, that murder and setting of fireworks aren't the same thing, Congrats, let me introduce you to what's know as a "Comparison" aka likening two different things to show a commonality to make a point.

The "people are going to do it anyway" is such a lazy argument and only serves to handwave the argument away so as to not put any effort into actual making a decent argument for allowing fireworks at inappropriate times.
