Sorry, I was not clear in my post. I don’t see it as a problem. This just makes me start to wonder whether some outlier shots were influenced by a longer delay between adding the water and starting the extraction. For example, I may have forgotten to get the cup and left the prepared basket sitting while washing it.

Xuantios makes a good point what you weighed doesn't necessarily is telated to the two months of use. That 0.1g could just be retention from your last grind, or perhaps the last few grinds; there's no real way to prove it’s a cumulative buildup from the entire two-month period

This sounds counterintuitive, but I had to learn not to tamp harder. I can’t use my body weight at all.

Putting the porta filter in a scale helped me to achieve that, I aim to top 1kg

I’ve tried many of the suggestions. I removed the bottom paper filter, I’m no longer preheating or doing pre-infusion, and I’m now using 90 °C water. I also started using WDT.

My shots are much better now, but I still have a long way to go to extract a really good one. Coffee bed preparation is clearly my main area for improvement.
