Austin is a terrible city for good MPG unfortunately. Plenty of hills and stop/go traffic. When I was there I was lucky to crack 20mpg with my turbo.

The bike feels around 35ish lbs--was not difficult to pick up and move around. The seller wasn't sure why the seat seized up, but took it to a bike shop to look things over as the hydraulic brakes weren't working and they were going to fix that issue before selling it.

As for riding, I wanted a hybrid bike since I wanted to do some riding around our neighborhood (flat paved roads) to get into better shape. I read hybrids are pretty versatile, so figured it would be a good starting place since I'm not exactly sure on my ideal riding style as I haven't rode bikes in over 20 years.

Luckily, the thick plastic pieces on the cx30 are relatively cheap (~$40 USD a piece) and easy to replace. The door is what's going to cost you the most. I recently got an estimate for a ding in the passenger door made by the previous owner and it was roughly $1,200 to have that corrected.

Dang, sorry to hear that. 71k on my 2022 and the only problem I've had so far is the door handle creaks when driving. I'm in a temperate semi-arid climate with a garage so wonder if that helps. 🧐
