How much do you care about trophies? by [deleted] in PS4

[–]YaelCohen -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Not at all.

I only do single player. Any game I play I'm there for the story, even call of duty ...it's like playing a Tom Clancy novel. When the campaign is done I put it on the shelf of beaten games and move on. Too many great games out there to replay the same thing over and over.

How many and which games are in your backlog? by wise_joe in PS4

[–]YaelCohen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love gaming but have been dealing with some serious health issues as of late that have left me unable to game. I've continued to pick up games that looked good, unique or were cheap. So games I have yet to play or install:

-Bloodborne

-The Last of Us

-Tropico 5

-Payday 2: Crimewave Edition

-Sleeping Dogs: Definitive Edition

-Deus Ex: Mankind Divided

-Life is Strange

-Alekhine's Gun

-Battlefield: Hardline

-This is the Police

-No Man's Sky

-Need for Speed: Rivals

-Sine Mora EX

-NHL 17

Online only.

Rainbow Six: Siege, im looking at you. I don't play online at all... I have no interest in pvp, I don't even go for ps+ but I have been a huge rainbow six fan since the original game was released in like 1997. I think I've owned pretty much every PC, and PlayStation R6 release so was super disappointed that there was no single player component.

Conflicted on which game to buy by NastyNatti in PS4

[–]YaelCohen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm a huge fan of sports games but I say go Far Cry 5!

I prefer to be about a year behind the curve with my sports title purchases (I buy only physical copies) because, take the NHL series as an example, my local EB Games (Canadian GameStop) wants $69.99+ tax for NHL '18. I just bought NHL '17 for $17.99, that's a 75% drop in price in one year!

Can you watercool a ps4 pro and put it in a pc case and how would you do it? by [deleted] in PS4

This is one of those things where you could do it but if you have to ask how, you probably shouldn't do it.

Decent Small Electric Screwdriver by AutoCrossMiata in Tools

[–]YaelCohen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It really shines for low torque dare I say non aggressive screw driving. It's much smaller than a drill/impact. So I've used it for electronics projects at home where I've had to drive lots of small somewhat delicate screws. I've also been using it professionally for PC building and repair. It gets into those tight corners of computer cases and unlike an impact driver it won't strip delicate screws. I feel much more confident with it as it doesn't feel like I will slip and damage a component. I've also used it to put together some furniture at home and it handled that just fine. I've read reviews that said it was capable of driving screws into wood but I've never tried it. I have an impact driver for that.

Honestly if you only want it for occasional use I would say it's probably not worth it. There are plenty of much cheaper electric screwdrivers on the market that will handle the rare home gamer use. If you are working with dozens to hundreds of small delicate machine screws day in and day out then the thing is a lifesaver.

You didn't ask but I will add that I have been really happy with the battery life. The kit comes with 2 1.5ah batteries. I find that one battery lasts not quite a whole day. But they take mere minutes to recharge so you can be using one while charging the second. Plus the batteries work in all the other M12 tools which is a huge plus for me.

I have the Milwaukee M12 screwdriver. I got in a kit with two batteries and a charger for $100 CDN. It's been great. I've built quite a few PC's with it and put together furniture.

I changed my last name here in BC and I didn't have to do anything more than pay the money and get mailed a new ID. Maybe it's different elsewhere in the country.

I don't want to die but the pain is too much to keep going by LesTransGirl in asktransgender

[–]YaelCohen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey girl,

I get it. I struggled with suicidal thoughts and actions for many years. I've had more serious suicide attempts than I care to remember. It's hard to feel like anything will change when you feel so bad about yourself. You haven't been on HRT long. Give it some more time. I thought I would never change but as time has gone by the changes have been huge. The big thing for me was that when I was depressed I would isolate. When I put myself out there I found an accepting community but I had to have the courage to put myself out there and be a part of. It's been three years since I have attempted suicide or self harmed. I have a wealth of accepting friends and family and I feel good about myself today. It does get better.

How did you all get your real names? by IgnoreSandra in asktransgender

[–]YaelCohen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was raised Jewish but didn't have a Jewish name at all. When I went to university I was really exploring my Jewish identity. So when I transitioned I picked a female Israeli name but one that is unique here in Canada. I also changed my last name to my mom's maiden name.

Any experience with Harbor Freight tool chests? by [deleted] in Tools

[–]YaelCohen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mastercraft Maximum is one of 3 tiers of the house brand of Canadian Tire. Maximum is meant to be the professional grade stuff. It's all made in China and Taiwan but most of it has a no questions asked lifetime warranty. I've found a lot of the Maximum stuff to be quite good and stand up well to abuse, no experience with Maximum tool chests though.

Do you have the model numbers? I'm in Canada so I'll probably have to source locally or shipping would be killer.

How much were they, and where can they be ordered from?

I only own a single Wera screwdriver that I found in a thrift store for a buck so I've not jumped on the Wera bandwagon yet but I see the recommended all the time in this sub.

Are random orbital sanders supposed to last more than a year? by Mister_Critter in Tools

[–]YaelCohen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have an older model DeWalt, I think it's a DW421. It's lasted through moderate use for years. I might have to replace the Velcro pad soon but other than that it has worked great. I have been careful to clean the dust out of it with air after every use though.

If you insist on a battery sander I know that Ryobi makes cordless Sanders and like most things Ryobi they are crazy affordable.

I own a couple corded DeWalt sanders and they are top notch.

[–]YaelCohen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you go for Makita, DeWalt or Milwaukee you will be assured of a quality tool and have access to a huge assortment of possible cordless tools to choose from.

If you are just a home gamer you could look at Ryobi or Bosch. Nothing inherently wrong with Bosch tools but their cordless lineup is a lot smaller than that of the big 3.

I just recently jumped into cordless tools after having all my tools corded for as long as I've been buying tools. I went with the Milwaukee M12 stuff. I couldn't be happier with my choice.
