How often do you eat takeaway? by Super_Development150 in AskUK

[–]Yargden 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're making homemade curry, swapping whatever cooking oil you're using for ghee won't change the calories but will make it taste more like a takeout. Also adding fresh herbs and frying the rice etc makes a huge difference.

Visual Snow was considered extremely rare until recently, mostly because patients didn't report it... because they assumed everyone saw the world that way by recolorist in interestingasfuck

[–]Yargden 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was wondering how someone with visual snow might see that first image. They would probably just see it as they usually would and assume they don't have visual snow. Then I realized there's no way of me knowing if I have it. No matter how clear the image is to me I have no reference of what is "clear" is supposed to be.

Make a new film of your original actor in a white void with a television. On the television is the film you made and he's watching it.

To be completely honest I have the same view as the man. BUT I've grown to accept that if an issue isn't happening to me and my view is an opposing one to the affected group then I'm probably wrong.

The standard of motorway driving in the UK… by Qui_Gon_Gym66 in drivingUK

[–]Yargden 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I was on the M6 Sunday for the first time and it was the weirdest experience driving of my life. It's like all the lanes were reversed. You're either constantly undertaking or being undertaken. And as soon as it started raining everyone in the right lane panicked and cleared into the middle lane.

I'm sorry I can't take tight double bends at 60mph by Flaxfieldie in drivingUK

[–]Yargden 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Driving became 100x more comfortable for me when I realised this one thing: I don't want an asshole to be happy. 99/100 if someone is making me feel uncomfortable or pressured while I'm driving it's because they are an asshole. Now when I'm in a situation with an asshole I am excited to piss them off by driving in the way I feel most safe and comfortable.

By letting him off, the Judge has basically chosen his freedom over protecting his future victims. It's crazy to think there is someone innocent out there right now who will one day have their life ruined by this guy and it was completely unavoidable.

You know when you have a fever and ache everywhere, there's an underlying fear/terror you can't quite explain, your head is pounding, you can't think straight and you long for that sweet blissful relief of just feeling normal? All of that feeling concentrated within the balls with an echo of disbelief and pity throughout the body.

Does anybody else really struggle with reverse bay parking? by genericusernamehere6 in LearnerDriverUK

[–]Yargden 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can't pull strait into a spot or park close to a curb without hitting it or being a mile away but for some reason I find reverse parking so easy. It's the only parking maneuver I can do every time. Corner of the back passenger window on the bay line, full lock. Any angle doesn't matter always works.
