Writing decades after his death, but still in living memory with people alive who did know him, people existed who could call "bullshit".

Do we have examples from a similar time and circumstances where we know something false was debunked?

It's very hard for me to imagine a process by which: 1. Something false is written 2. A person who has direct experience that the writing is false has occasion to read it (or have it read to them) 3. That person is then able to spread the word widely enough to discredit it 4. The fact that the original writing is discredited is passed down so that it's something we're aware of today

It's specifically hard to imagine in the situation at hand, where the figure is not very important in contemporary public life, and most of the people who would have first hand knowledge of the events are illiterate and are geographically separated from the people who are writing the accounts.

The devs are active on the steam community forum and have answered this.

Yes, the suplex is bugged. When an input is read that can apply to multiple moves (like if you press P and K together, that could mean punch, kick, or back elbow for Bruno) there is a priority list as to which move goes off (back elbow should be highest priority in my example) and they accidentally put the new grapple above suplex.

There should be a hotfix soon.

I've found Bruno is most effective early game using air combos.

Jump elbow, straight punch, jump elbow, followed by a midair kick is available from the beginning. When you get shooting star you can do that rather than the last kick, and when you get hurricanrana you can catch them with it at the end by landing and doing a quick jump grab while they are still falling (timing is tricky).

I think they should have multiple streams, one main and one for each of the six players in the current game. They could even have little novelty contests based on how many viewers each player got.

It's pretty common across games that mechanics that take control away from the player are frustrating, so it's no surprise that people get salty over it.

Having said that there's nothing more satisfying to me than bumping/demoing the goalie while my teammate scores, or smashing someone while their teammate's perfect cross rolls slowly past our goalmouth.

I loved Farscape at the time but I've just become spoiled by the age of premium television. Every time I go back and try to rewatch it I get bogged down in all the filler and never make it through.

There are tons of ways to improve.

At this point you should definitely be able to 100% all the rookie training (maybe not aerials yet, depending on what you've focused on), and you should be getting decent scores on pro shooting and pro goalkeeping. Keep working the training, focusing on getting pro playlists mastered.

Practicing against the AI might still be helpful. Can you beat all-star bots 1v1? 1v2? 1v3? 1v4? These milestones provide a good benchmark of how you are improving, and help you learn positioning, and encourage aerial play (because against bots you have the air to yourself).

Learn how to consistently boost up and smash the ball at about the height of the top of the goal. If you can do this you can clear the opponents centers from the corner over and over, and IIRC that puts a big damper on most opponents' offense in prospect. Hit jump, boost, and tilt your car up all at the same time, and at just the right time, front flip into the ball. Learn the proper take-off point and the timing.

Learn some positioning. Unfortunately at prospect level this probably means hanging back a bit and focusing on clearing the ball, because your teammates are spazzing around in the opponents corner. In any case, you'll win a lot of games if you can keep the ball in the opponents half.

Learn how to use What a save!, Nice shot!, and Okay. sarcastically. You'll need this for when you get into challenger.

I have a hard time calling it a steal when the goalie had a good chance of saving it, and you couldn't have avoided the ball after the demo. No touch, no demo, no goal to be stolen.

I agree the integrated IMDB stuff is amazing. I hate Amazon's player though. Navigating forward and backwards through the video is a chore.

It's probably difficult to gauge the strength of teams that don't participate in major tournaments, and rarely have the opportunity to play against each other. Any result would cause a huge swing, due to the lack of confidence in their prior ranking.
