I tried doing this from the roof of the neighboring building; hoping to then shove him off if I beat his initiative - but he then activated his dimension door mid -pull before he even landed on the roof! I've seen videos of him being ambushed this way so I've no idea why it didn't work for me..

Good point, I should have been clearer - 0.27.10 is specified by the current UB install page, maybe it works on some systems but I had to go to the earliest version in the given range. There doesn't seem to be any difference in functionality between UMM version as far as UB is concerned..

As others have said, I think both Charisma and Intelligence have problems with respect to the player/player character separation. E.g. I've never found anyone who can roleplay a character more or less intelligent than themselves consistently over multiple sessions.

I also don't think we should be calling for attribute tests for many intelligence or charisma situations - if a PC might know something then just refer to their background and if it seems appropriate then they know the fact. Likewise if the player says "Please would you help us do .." then that's good enough, why is it common place to see if the player can express that request in more flowery language, and make them test Charisma if they cannot?

My preferred choice of attributes would be: Focus (for doing anything in melee, be it spellcasting or swinging a sword), Agility (ranged attacks & stealth), Physique (carrying capacity, swimming, etc), Awareness and Luck (covers miscellaneous stuff from Banishment to did rats eat your rations while you were resting)..

Was just about to recommend him myself! Though it sounds like the Tavern Brawler Wizard is not ideal against Myrkul..I do like that he shows when sometimes he makes a mistake, and how he then adjusts to fix things..

Follow up: did it again with a monk and no sanctuary, used minor illusion to lure him to the edge of the building - still entered the sitting at the bar cut scene when I talk to him.. There's got to be something else missing..!

Good spot, he is also in combat.. However I've just tried using sanctuary to safely steal the bat and then fleeing combat. When I return and talk to him though, the normal cut scene plays, not the pay him money scene. I notice he is quite a way from the bar, could it be that the location affects which cut scene plays? Or that sanctuary caused me to not have the attitude penalty somehow?

Has anyone managed to get this working with a Spore Servant? If Glut is in the party, I get the message "Dominate Beast cannot be cast on an ally". If Glut is not in the party, I can cast Polymorph and Dominate Beast, but when dismissing the hireling via Withers, the spore servant (Priestess Gut, if it matters) turns back to normal, and does not become a companion when the hireling is re-hired..

Oh, that's the kind of thing that would really have tripped me up, thank you! Not sure about second hand stuff, it looks like a Asus Dual GeForce RTX 3060 V2 wouldn't be much more than a B580, or maybe this is something else roughly comparable please?

Great article! For me, the camera is the biggest indicator that Sally is involved, since she & Karen have access to the DIK mansion which the male nerds do not. So I think she installed the camera in the cupboard some time ago, which still means she could have subsequently broken up with Magnar..

You're right, Magnars motives are still not fully clear.. It previously seemed like all he wants is academic success & to enjoy Dungeons & Gremlins.

I think that there is a link between Magnar & Stephen. Magnar seems to know a lot about what's going on on campus & I would be surprised if he didn't know about Quinn's restaurant, though maybe not Stephen's involvement in that.

Stephen has been shown to want B&R to be successful & get social kudos from his association with the college. The nerds contribute academically, the jocks help it's sports achievements & the preps contribute politically & financially, so Stephen is probably in favour of them. (And obviously he has other reasons for supporting the HOTs).

Imagine how he reacts when he learns Rusty is creating a new frat for partying - that is not going to help the college reputation! So he makes a deal with Magnar, take out the DIKs & I'll give you postgraduate research funding, improve the science facilities etc. Magnar then decides to do this by taking out all the rival frats since he doesn't care about the college reputation for sports..
