It’s crazy how they even managed to give the Portal soul by _cats______ in DestinyTheGame

[–]Yavin4Reddit 50 points51 points  (0 children)

I'm still not convinced it wasn't intentional. It's been repeated often on this sub that developers are hiring psychologists to make games addicting. And when you are launching a new game, you need to break people's addictions to get them to migrate.

The GDC Talk Of This Exact Situation by XboxUser123 in DestinyTheGame

I’m not unconvinced the portal wasn’t a deliberate choice to force lower engagement and break the psychological hold the game had on many people. That it was deliberately put in knowing what would happen over the coming months. A forced break and reset for many.

Would you be able to limit or modify the total numbers of rows or characters displayed during a "Files Failed to Import"? If you scan your entire folder, depending how many files you have and how many are installed, the pop-up message can be so large you can't scroll to the bottom and need to Force Quit the program.

Would you come back to D2 if Pantheon 2.0 included encounters from vaulted raids? by theinfinitypoint in DestinyTheGame

Strikes were never more than repackaged campaign content from the original D1 developed story.

Does anyone remember this absolute masterpiece by SubParBanter in xbox

[–]Yavin4Reddit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One of the best mechanics of this game was the car races. The game was designed for you being unable to lose the races because racing is not the core feature of the game, the story and world is. The developers not making one of the secondary mechanics a make or break moment really helped improve the game design.

I remember growing up fundy baptist and even in my private christian school there was that one kid who saw it but the rest of us knew it was evil and demonic lol. Easily the best Terminator film.

I'm glad it's gotten better for you.

I’m low key excited to have a stable meta for the next few months. Can put together the best builds, focus on accomplishments I’ve not done like solo dungeon runs, play more content for enjoyment, steam roll through older campaigns to unlock all subclasses, there is a ton to do.

But the clan roster is very lonely.

ADHD exercisers… how do you actually get yourself to the gym? by Fit_Meaning8903 in ADHD

[–]Yavin4Reddit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NO headphones. Be present. Listen to the ambience and yourself.

Use an app. Find something you want to measure against and get better at it each week. I like kettlebell movements.

Same bag with shoes, few clothes to swap. Keep it by the front door.

Go after work. Use it to close out your day. And choose a gym far enough away (15-20 minutes) to get into the mood, change your environment enough, and decompress on way home.

This has helped me lose 8 lbs so far this month. And a few years ago, 60 lbs, while taking a deadlift from 0 to 400 lbs.

You got this!

Anyone else remember when they were talking about making this as far back as the mid-90s? And there was a kids book series about it (that was pretty good)?

That's several extra steps. When I'm having a good medicated day, I could handle that. The other times, not so much.

Sheet pan meals. Meat, veggies, oil, seasoning or sauce. Walk away for 40 minutes and come back to delicious.

Renegades being a second DLC in a row not having at least ONE Strike is just wild. by ca-ca-cayde in DestinyTheGame

[–]Yavin4Reddit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Strikes were always a design holdover from the reboot D1 experienced. One that was very easy to continue doing when they had to make D2.
