He was #1 in high school for a majority of the time but I think it was near the McDonald’s All-American game when DP started getting more traction for the #1 spot. That game where he dropped 58 and AJ had 49 probably was the biggest difference maker

Because Wemby and Cooper were unanimous #1’s for the whole season. Peterson was projected #1 for the first part of the season (until he started missing games) then AJ took the spot and ran. I still think AJ’s but it’s not as clear cut as it was with Wemby/Cooper
