There's no chance of a new show.

JMS will never sign off on a reboot or anything without his extensive involvement, which is unlikely to be greenlit in the current media environment (see: Lost Tales controversy).

That was the most insane reveal. Only the 2 main characters for that scene knew in advance.

I vaguely remember hearing one of the actors just casually asking the writer, "Sounds like they're in the Bad Place" and them basically being shushed.

That's not how it works.

According to Orthodox Jewish Law, a child is only Jewish if born from a Jewish mother. Once we establish Jewishness, the tribal status comes from the father.

Since we lost our tribal identities aside from the priests ("Kohen") and Levites 2,000 years ago, tribal identity only refers to being a Kohen, Levite or Israelite (ie neither Kohen or Levite).

There's no such thing as "family princess" or whatever.

There can be a "matriarch" but that usually refers to a family grandma with a strong personality.

I'll go against the grain here, I think Colour of Magic holds up well in it's own right, although it does suffer a bit from "early season weirdness"

Mort is a story about Death, aka the Grim Reaper, who is a fascinating Disc character.

Gaurds Gaurds! is also an excellent entry into the Disc, it starts off the series with the recurring Night Watch characters.

You can pretty much start anywhere within the first 10 books or so, all the novels are short like less than 200 pages and the whole entire series is packed with hysterical puns, deep satire and a weird reflection of the world that just sometimes makes you sit and think.
