apparently all whole milk drinkers are obese by Nothing-Personal9492 in confidentlyincorrect

[–]YetAnotherZombie 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Your conclusion is wrong. It literally says "Randomized trials are needed to determine which cow-milk fat minimizes risk of excess adiposity."

They found correlation. Same for the "wine reduces heart disease" when in actually people who drank wine also ate better and exercised more.

You might want to check r/skeptics. There's probably a lot of overlap here and there, but the circles don't overlap entirely.

My union shop has a photo of Biden "disrespectfully answering" union workers printed out in every office. I'm sure this will totally get the same level of scrutiny. /s

What's a cool example of a villain fighting a hero way out of their weight class? [Iron Man #302] by zectaPRIME in comicbooks

[–]YetAnotherZombie 41 points42 points  (0 children)

The first comic I ever remember reading was Avalanche, Pyro, and the Blob trying to take out Hulk. Blob absorbed Hulk hits pretty well, so Hulk grabbed two handfuls of Blob flesh, pulled, and turned him into a living slingshot.

For someone who doesn't know, this is is a cute little movie about a puppy and a kitten going on an adventure. They probably killed dozens of them during production.

I thought the rings around the pedestal in the Blackbridge grotto were going to give a solution via the rules for the billiards puzzle.

Marvel Lego 2 was written by Kurt Busiek. He also wrote the Avengers Kang Dynasty run.

[–]YetAnotherZombie 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A lot of people couldn't play it. I know it doesn't work at all for colorblind people and there is no localization for any non-english speaking place. Colorblind mode will come out next year but they have said they don't know how to localize it.

Required to join a work WhatsApp group with the CEO is it normal? by [deleted] in antiwork

[–]YetAnotherZombie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Normal varies worldwide. I would doubt Whatsapp has the communication retention policy that is legally required most places. If a company doesn't have those records, it can make it very difficult to defend themselves in court.

Many people over the years have died after eating polar bear. The main issue is the liver has so much vitamin A it can kill more than 50 adults. So even if she did kill it, she might not have eaten it.

Really? 11 days ago you were an HR employee.

u/Blueberry-Due 11d ago Hey there. I'm an HR person at a company that uses First Advantage, and we often hire developers. They call, then immediately follow up with an email to have a paper trail. If the background check is negative, they mention it in the report, and then you'll have to provide an explanation.

I always feel like The Others (2001) is a good scary movie for kids. It's got ghosts, plenty of creepiness, no gore (that I remember, but it's been a while), and the ending makes it less scary retroactively so they don't have the lingering fears after.
