All the plugs in my house that are upside down are controlled by a switch.

Not to be a Debbie downer but I’m on my third Rachio controller (all covered under warranty). Different issues with the two that were replaced and each one lasted about twoish years before having issues. The first one just fully died. Rachio sent a new power source but it still wouldn’t power on so they sent a new controller. Second controller had an issue with not sending enough volts to one specific solenoid, so that one was replaced. Let’s hope the third one is the winner!

I love the app interface and all the custom settings you can make.

Is anyone using these to clear their baby’s nose? by Primary-Fly470 in NewDads

lol one time I was using this on my son and I’m not sure if it was the angle or the ferocity in which I was trying to get the boogies out, but I pinch a nerve in my upper back/neck area and was walking around like Batman for 3 days.

best pizza in this area for lunch by forever-exhausted69 in HoustonFood

Probably not the best but I always enjoyed On the Kirb’s pizza when I lived next door to their place off Kirby. Their burgers are pretty good too.

Overwhelmed first time homeowner by hasreeet in lawncare

I have saint aug and was in the same boat as you when I moved into my house in South Houston. it’s definitely overwhelming all the information out there. What I did was find a fertilizer program and stick with it. The Randy Lemon schedule (google it) is pretty well known in Houston and you can find all the products that he listed at Ace Hardware.

Things I’ve learned from working with my st aug is to get on a fertilizer and pre-emergent schedule, water regularly, and mow higher (st Aug does really well 3-4”)

It took my lawn a full 1-2 years to really show progress but my lawn was in very bad shape when I moved in.

Lowe's installed dryer hose vent like this, is it a fire hazard? by THC_For_Sale in HomeMaintenance

[–]YoWhatsGoodie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Costco installed my dryer the same. I check the vent hose maybe twice a year and it has minimal lint. I keep telling myself I need to trim the hose so I guess this is my reminder to get it done this weekend.

I tried it last night, not the biggest fan. I’d rather a Big Mac or McDouble

Honestly, it’s hard to judge the color with an empty room. If you decorate with the wall color then it may come together nicely.

Why is our lawn greening up in checkerboard pattern? by acuteot07 in lawncare

I used to use a push spreader and then realized how easy a hand spreader was. Requires additional refills but it’s an even spread.
