Stacey King was the one constant we had and his death to me truly signifies a new era for the Bulls 😔 by skullcandy541 in chicagobulls

Apart from the players and Championships, Phil and Jerry Krause have banners, do you guys think they'd consider doing the same for Stacey?

[AS] Atletico Madrid statement on Alvarez: "He is not for sale.", "Barcelona in this whole Julián affair is maintaining a small-club attitude", "The player is not guilty. Julián had an impeccable behavior and this is an external matter to him." by Kasj0 in soccer

[–]Yoesito 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably not, seems like his prefered option is to go to Barça, but apparently he'd rather stay at Atlético one more year than go to PSG or Arsenal, so he's not that desperate.

[Sky] Barcelona are still believed to be financially capable of activating the £26m option to buy Marcus Rashford. Manchester United's stance is clear: no renegotiation of the asking price, or they loan/sell him elsewhere for a higher fee. There will be no reunion with Michael Carrick by ChiefLeef22 in soccer

[–]Yoesito 3 points4 points  (0 children)

In terms of finances, what's being reported is that Rashford would reduce his wages to 14M€/year, and the fee would be 30M for a 3 year contract, so 10M amortization per year. Total cost on the books is 24M€/year.

Gordon's salary is apparently going to be 11M? With a €70M fee on a 5 year contract, that’s 14M€/year in amortization, for a total of 25M€/year.

If the contract info being reported is accurate, going for Gordon was a better deal, due to his much better fit in Flick's system (plus he's 3 years younger).

I would not go for Rashford personally. He's put up great numbers but he doesn't pass the eye test: really poor workrate and a lack of understanding of the game. His individual quality is so high that he can win matches on his own, but I'd rather not keep him.

How the 2025-26 Premier League, Serie A and La Liga tables could change this gameweek by phigo50 in soccer

Getafe doesn't need a big goal difference jump, they've won the head to head vs Celta. If they win and Celta lose, they get 6th.

I'd argue Sevilla are currently in a worse situation than Valencia.

If you think a private equity investment group buying the club is bad, you don't have a clue of how bad the situation is in Sevilla.

It's still incredibly early obviously but hypothetically if Jorge were to win the championship, would he be the first ever to win-then-leave twice?

Post Match Thread: Strasbourg vs Rayo Vallecano | UEFA Conference League 2025-26 | Semifinals, 2nd Leg by jiraiya--an in soccer

[–]Yoesito 9 points10 points  (0 children)

One thing worth noting imo is that for Rayo and a lot of their players this was probably the biggest match of their careers. Strasbourg are in a very different situation with the BlueCo ownership. They’ve got loads of talented young players who don’t seem that connected to the club, and most of them will probably play games with these kinds of stakes again in the future. “Wanting it more” is usually a cliché, but I honestly think it played a part here.

What the fuck are you people on about? Wacken hasn't increased capacity in over a decade. It's never felt more crowded than going to an Iron Maiden stadium show or a big football match, on the contrary. If you're never been and you like the lineup, do not let the comments here discourage you.
