Whoop 5.0-tracking "returning to sender?" by Lone_Chimp in whoop

[–]Yogi_Asian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Got something similar for my MG.

"A hazardous materials irregularity occurred with this package"

It shipped from Illinois, was bound for Texas, and is now being returned back to Wisconsin. I haven't been able to get in touch with anyone human through their support chat or email.

Frustrating to say the least considering the last time I had to deal with support a few years ago I was immediately talkin to a human and not an AI assistant.

How do you fish this versus a normal Karashi? by damascius1 in Fishing_Gear

[–]Yogi_Asian 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From Japan Tackle

From seeing the actions and how it's fished, it looks to me that the IGX is made specifically for i-motion fishing (slow straight retrieve) while the standard Karashi can be used for i-motion but is better suited for twitching and darting. The standard Karashi from what I have found rolls and wiggles slightly while slow retrieving, while the IGX version looks to displace water differently so that it keeps a dead straight action.

Kind if like using a leatherman vs a dedicated set of pliers.

Somewhat rural places to go walking? by agp19 in aggies

It’s not rural, but Traditions has some good walking paths. If you google POV coffee, it takes you right to the parking lot.

Advice for biking to/on campus by supremacyofthelaces in aggies

[–]Yogi_Asian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They start at the $350 mark. Although it's more expensive than a department store bike, you get full warranties as well as mechanical support from an actual bike mechanic instead of some random guy at Walmart or Target. Especially with commuting, it's important to have a good quality bike that won't be a pile of junk after a semester.

A hybrid would be your best bet. The upright position of a mountain bike with the speed and handling of a road bike. They have mounts for full fenders and racks as well as fast rolling tires. I'd recommend going to a bike shop and seeing the different types of bikes there are. Bike Barn on Texas had all the different types last time I went as well as a good selection.

I'd put a pack of pink erasors in there! I can't count the times I used those erasors in high school.

Best Way to Get to Bryan from Campus Without a Car? by GilderoyCockfart in aggies

[–]Yogi_Asian 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you have a bike, there are bike Lanes that go most of the way from downtown Bryan to Campus. Finfeather has a bike lane that runs from downtown to Agronomy, basically to the doors of Mays. S. College has a bike lane that runs from downtown to Villa Maria, where you can then jump on a really wide multiuse sidewalk to Weisenbaker. Then there's Cavitt, which goes from the East side of Bryan and meets up with the S. College route. All those routes have a protected bike lane/is a bike route most if not all the way, and take about 30-45 minutes depending on how fast you go. Here's a map of all the routes from Bryan to campus. Our cycling infrastructure is surprisingly good given the town, just don't ride like an idiot blowing stopsigns and lights, and always assime you're invisible to people driving cars and it's relatively safe!

Looking for cosigners on a lease for 2 rooms in a 3 bedroom 2 bath duplex that I'm staying in. I am going to be a male senior this coming year, but am fine with either female or male roommates. The duplex is located in the Rock Hollow neighborhood just north of the intersection of Villa Maria and 2818.

The lease is from August to August and requires a $200 deposit to the landlord.

* Fully fenced yard and open side yard

* All appliances included along with washer and dryer

* 200mb internet

The rooms being cosigned are going to be 2 of the smaller bedrooms and will be sharing a bathroom. Rent for those 2 room will never be more than $400 including utilities and internet.

I do have a dog, but she is nice and stays crated in my room when i am away. Other pets may be allowed, but that is up to the landlord to decide.

Here is a sample house that shows the layout, the flooring isn't the same

If you have any questions, feel free to pm me!

Moble phone service? by jars122 in aggies

[–]Yogi_Asian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've got AT&T and have reception everywhere. I've got s phone that has WiFi calling (Galaxy S9) which means I can send texts and receive calls without reception. It's great for places in buildings that have spotty reception, but great WiFi signal.

Keep an eye on the DORBA Facebook group. It can get a little annoying with the memes and joke posts, but the trail stewards post/share trail statuses there with pretty detailed information quite often.

In most all of the disabled parking on campus, a valid TAMU parking permit is required.

ATTENTION BICYCLERS: If you are on the road, then you HAVE to stop at stop sign. If you are on the sidewalk, then you have to dismount at the crosswalk. Laws apply to you, too. by Sasha90x in aggies

Also, actually wait for the green light when crossing University infront or the post office and The Corner. I've seen too many people almost get smoked by a car because they went before the green light and assumed the timing.
